Hi There,
I am looking for a lodger in my newly refurbished house.
The room for rent is a large double, with built in wardrobe, a double bed and some shelving - it's the biggest bedroom in the house.
Downstairs is open plan living, with a brand new kitchen and all the things you'd want, so oven, induction hobs, microwave, washing machine (no tumble dryer), large fridge-freezer, kitchen island, dining table, and then living room space with two sofas and a decent sized TV. I've also a small sofa at the back that look out at the views across the valley, as the house backs onto allotments so it's just lovely views out the back. The main bathroom is downstairs (no bath, just a good shower), with a second toilet upstairs.
I've also got a greenhouse which I will be renovating soon, and a garage which is mainly used as storage but I have a good home gym in there as well. The house also has a driveway for cars or on-street parking in front of the house.
In terms of my comings and goings, I live in the house 3 or 4 nights a week most weeks, but it does vary. I'm often not around on a Friday night and rarely on a Saturday night, Sundays are variable. I have a job that enables me to work from home fairly often, although ideally I go into the office twice a week (mainly Leeds, sometimes London).
There is bus stop very literally outside of the house. There is a large gym 5 minutes walk about, a doctors surgery 3 minutes walk, the Coop about 12 minutes, ALDI 15 minutes and you can get to the canal on foot in about 7 minutes.
I'm looking for a friendly individual as a lodger in my house. Someone who is tidy and respectful of the space. Ideally a professional, and not a party animal or big drinker. And someone who will chip in with cleaning.
I'm pretty easy going, like to get outside on my bike or for a walk and sometimes like cooking up a meal, although only in fits and starts. But equally, also like to sit in front of the TV. General interest in the world and politics (left leaning).
In case relevant to anyone, I don't drink anymore and I don't smoke.
Let me know if any questions.
