Looking for a Monday to Friday lodger

Far reaching views across the Bybrook Valley

We are looking for a Monday to Friday lodger. We have had 2 lovely lodgers over the past 3 years, both Bath Uni students. They can give references.

Ten minutes from Bath, a bedroom and weekday sole use of a beautiful three bedroom, two reception room family home, with a peaceful garden and far reaching view across the Bybrook Valley, just ten minutes drive to the east of Bath, in the idyllic hamlet of Kingsdown.

I am looking for a Monday to Friday lodger, who would ideally arrive Monday after work.

Idyllic country setting.
Panoramic country views.
Gardens approaching 0.3 of an acre.
Off road parking.
Comfortable and well appointed interiors.
Gas central heating and high speed broadband.

I predominantly live and work in London Tuesday-Friday and would only be visiting occasional weekends until Monday (and ideally over Christmas and Easter), so you would have the house to yourself term time, weekdays. By arrangement, you can also stay in the house over the weekends that we don’t visit. (Which will be the majority of weekends).

This house would suit a student or professional who is willing to travel home occasional weekends but needs to be in Bath or Corsham from Monday evening to Friday morning.

Short term lets (<3 months) considered for a 20% rent increase.

The house has parking, a garage, patio, garden, 2 reception rooms, a study, kitchen, hall, bathroom. One of the bedrooms would be yours and another bedroom would be mine for when I return at weekends.

I am looking for a respectful, clean and tidy lodger who will care for my home.

Bills:
Gas, electricity, water are metered and would be split 50:50.
High speed broadband and council tax is included at no cost.
You would pay for any landline calls and TV licence if you use it. You should take out contents insurance for your own possessions if you feel you need it.

House rules:
Please don't wear outside shoes inside the house.
You can either leave the house clean on Friday (or I can arrange a cleaner to come on a Friday at £21 per hour).
No pets or parties.

From Bath leave the city on the A4 London Road towards Chippenham, along the dual carriageway. At the roundabout turn right, signposted Bradford on Avon, and first left into the village of Bathford. Continue up the hill through Bathford and 300 yards after leaving the village turn left into Lower Kingsdown Road. Follow this road along where the property is situated on your left.
