Lovely, freshly decorated and fully furnished double room in a comfortable, warm Victorian home, 4 mins walk from Trowbridge station.

I’m looking for a female, non-smoking and non-vaping professional to join my cosy Victorian home.

The house is intended to be a calm, female household of three, with everyone having their own space and sharing comfortable, well-kept facilities. It’s a welcoming home and would suit someone who enjoys a bit of company but is equally happy doing their own thing.

The bedroom

The freshly decorated, fully furnished double bedroom is ready to move into now, with a brand-new small double ottoman bed and brand-new mattress, built-in wardrobe and additional storage in a computer desk cupboard and under the bed.

The bathroom is also freshly decorated and shared with me.

The house

It’s a warm, fully insulated Victorian home with:
• Large, cosy, well-equipped shared kitchen, ideal if you enjoy cooking & baking
• Large, open-plan shared living space with two distinct areas, including a comfortable seating area and a separate log-burner area with piano (which you are welcome to play!)
• Underfloor heating throughout the downstairs

• Just 4 minutes’ walk from Trowbridge station and regular bus services from nearby Trinity Church bus stop.
• Shops, cinema, restaurants, cafés and the town centre all within easy walking distance
• On-street parking is available, although spaces directly outside the house can be limited.

The household is currently vegan/vegetarian. Eating meat isn't a deal breaker, but if you do, I’d ask you to use your own utensils and cookware for preparing it.

The garden

The garden is a lovely space with 2 patio areas, shrubs, fruit trees, a herb bed and a vegetable plot. You are welcome to get involved with sowing, planting or tending the veg if you enjoy that, and of course you’re welcome to enjoy the produce!

Optional garden office/studio, priced separately

At the bottom of the garden, there is also a high-quality, dry and fully insulated 3.5m x 4.5m garden office/studio, which is available separately from the bedroom.

It has:

• Superfast internet (500 Mbps)
• Soundproofing
• Full carpeting
• Large garden-facing window with a sound-insulating window design

It could work particularly well for someone who works from home and would like a dedicated workspace separate from their bedroom, or for music practice, as well as art, creative work or something similar.

For insurance reasons, the garden office/studio can't be used for overnight sleeping or for having clients visit. We can discuss further details and pricing if the garden office/studio is of interest to you.

A little about me

I’m a 47-year-old female German/British professional who works partly from home and also spends time away for work and travel. I enjoy nature, music, travelling, languages, gardening, Pilates and choir. I like having a calm, clean, comfortable and welcoming home.
I enjoy having someone around to chat, but I’m equally happy having time to myself.

Single occupancy only, no pets and no overnight guests for insurance reasons.

A second, slightly larger double bedroom with its own brand-new en-suite bathroom will also be available shortly. It is currently being furnished but can already be viewed.
