The rent includes all bills including council tax, a fortnightly cleaner plus household items (laundry liquids, cleaning products, kitchen basics etc). EV charging not included but happy to allow access to my home charger on a recharge basis at my current energy tariff rate (9p per kwh 12am-5am or 26p daytime).
Redecorated and furnished in 2023 when I moved in, the room gets wonderful morning sunlight and has it's own shower room with wash basin, under sink storage and WC. Furnishings include a double bed, 9-inch pocket sprung mattress with foam topper (all bedding provided), chest of drawers, bedside tables and a peg board for hanging longer items.
The living room has a TV with Amazon Prime, Netflix & Freeview and the broadband package is superfast. The kitchen/diner is has a dining table and chairs plus everything you'd expect - fridge, freezer, hob, oven, kettle, microwave, toaster, dishwasher and a washing machine/dryer. At the back of the house is a private south-facing garden with a blend of grass and mini sun-deck on the top level and a good sized patio with a table, 6 chairs and parasol on the lower level. There is a driveway where you are welcome to park your car (except the nights I need to charge my EV, when you can park across the front of the house).
The house is a 3-bed semi-detached property on the Malvern Vale housing development and has direct access to walking trails and views of the Malvern Hills and a convenient Sainsbury's Local. The third bedroom is my spare room and will not be advertised or occupied. It's a very quiet, family-oriented area so not suitable for someone who would like to host parties or play music outdoors etc.
Picturesque Great Malvern has a mix of high street and independent shops as well as cafes, bars and restaurants though, and is 7 mins drive/ 15 mins cycle / 30 mins walk away. Malvern Link railway station on the London - Hereford line is also nearby (5 min drive/ 10 min cycle / 20 mins walk). Worcester is a 20-minute drive away.
A bit about me....
I'm a Training Manager and work a hybrid pattern 3 days from home, 2 days in the office. I'm the home-owner and live in the property on my own so you would be sharing the communal areas with just me. I enjoy reading, art-house films, musicals, classes at the gym and travelling and exploring other cultures.
Who the room is suitable for ...
Someone who is looking to be a lodger/housemate in a calm and relaxed home. Someone who is permanently employed (non-negotiable), working on-site or hybrid (1-2 days at home), a non-smoker and able to supply references. Must be covid vaccinated.
I'm open to discussing term length and also other arrangements such as a pro rata Mon-Fri agreement if that is preferred. My outgoing lodger stayed with me for 2.5 years on a flexible mid-week arrangement so that speaks for itself I hope.
Please do get in touch if you are interested in viewing the room & house and also please include a bit about yourself - hobbies/interests reasons for moving and employment.
