Professional seeking Double Room MCR City Centre

Hi, I’m a Manchester native looking to move out of my current place immediately.

I’m looking for short term places because some of the longer term places I found that I fell in love with wouldn’t accept someone working part time. Time has marched on and I really need to move, even if it’s for somewhere for 1-2 months initially.

I want to find something longer term but the important thing to me now is just to find somewhere.

I work part time (PT) in the Life Sciences sector and this has proved nothing but an obstacle as when landlords/agencies find this out they panic and don’t even do the check or make the effort to find out that I earn a great PT salary. I need to make this clear from the outset as I’ve had a lot of my time wasted with this part time discrimination. I’m happy to provide full employment referencing for longer term contracts and to declare my salary however I’ve never got that far yet as I’m immediately turned down for renting.

A bit about me: I’m looking ideally at the NQ/Ancoats/Deansgate/Spinningfields/Salford Quays area. The most important thing is that there are direct transport links to the centre of town close by.

I’m interested in living with up to 3 people. 500-600 pcm is my range depending on the location and the place itself. 700 pcm including all bills is my absolute max long term.

I’d like a double room, an en-suite would be a bonus, and I’d like to live with clean, not just tidy people. I’m a scrubbing the bathroom tiles with bleach and a toothbrush kind of a person.

The place must have a dishwasher. Not having one would be a deal breaker for me as I like to cook and it’s a life saver. The place must also have parking included.

Ideally I’d like to share with professionals or PhD students.

I love languages, both computer and human. I love water sports and scuba diving. I also love dancing and go out to dance socially often.

Love cooking, singing, dinner/house parties, board games, salsa/bachata/zouk dancing and horror movies. I did grade 4 in singing for Musical theatre and love seeing shows and live music. You will hear my awful singing if we get to know each other well lol Big ballet fan.

I’d also like to find a place with a room that could be used as my office. I work fully remotely. I’d be up for sharing with someone else who WFH, however I don’t work in my room so I’d be taking over part of a communal area i. e. a space at a kitchen table on a daily basis.

I’m looking to find a buddy to get to know so I’m well up for having a coffee!

I adore pets, especially dogs so I’d love to share with someone who has a pet/pets. I could look after them while you were at work 😍😍
