Who we are:
2 professional females in our late-20s who in enjoy a good night in as much as a good night out. More pub-quizzers than party animals, we like to let our hair down at the weekends (when we're not working), and make the most of our new surroundings. We'd like to have our friends over sometimes (the lounge is easily big enough for people to stay over in), and in the summer we aim to put the garden to good use with BBQs and gatherings on the weekends.
Ideal sharers:
Like-minded professionals (guys or girls) who are tidy and considerate in shared-areas and who aren't going to want wild house parties all weekend, every weekend. We have spent 3 months looking for a place this nice, and would like to keep it looking the way we found it!
We want the house to feel like a 'home', not just a place we are staying at, and would therefore prefer to share with other people who want a nice place to go home to at the end of a hard days work, rather than someone who is basically still living like a student, and we'd hopefully all become firm friends too. Also, as it's up to us to keep the gardens in good order, green-fingers wouldn't go amiss either, as we don't really have a clue!
The house:
- Located in 7-Dials, just up from the Shakespears Head pub, a 5 minute walk to the station (it's actually on Howard Place, not Buckingham Road as the map suggests)
* Fully refurbished and refitted with completely new kitchen and bathroom suites - you can smell the fresh paint and new carpets!
* GFCH and Double Glazing to all front facing rooms
* White Goods (dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washing machine)
* Large SW-facing patio garden to the rear, plus smaller front garden
* 4 good-sized double bedrooms (we've already chosen ours, you can fight it out over the other two!), each with a TV point
* On-street Parking (Permit Zone Y)
Ground floor entrance to hallway/cloackroom, with large lounge off, and brand new fully fitted kitchen (with space for kitchen table and chairs) with understairs storage cupboard, leading to utility room, which in turn leads to the rear garden.
Stairs to first floor which has WC and 2 good-sized double bedrooms.
Stairs to second floor with main bathroom with brand new white suite of toilet, wash basin and electric shower over key-shaped bath.
The money bit:
We've fronted the deposit of £2, 250 so we'd need your deposit of £562. 50, plus agency fees of £117. 50. They would like a months rent in advance too which would be an additional £375 each. It is quite a lot of money up-front, but most definitely worth it! The agency/landlord will not accept students, and you will need to be employed and/or able to provide a guarantor.
Please get in touch asap if you are interested in meeting with us, and we can arrange for the agency to show you around the property pretty much whenever you need . We have set a date of 1st April as the very latest we would move in, though it is available before then if we sign the contract before then. The sooner we find the extra 2 people, the sooner we can move in as it is ready now!
