I have a lovely, bright, large, modern double room - with loads of storage space - available in this warm, secure and well maintained flat in Bermondsey.
This great room is available officially from January 1st, and could be as soon as December 15th or 16th - I am just awaiting confirmations on a couple of things for an earlier start date - it's a nice, light and sunny double bedroom available to rent for one person, (sorry, no couples),
The room has a nice solid double bed and thick comfy mattress, 2 huge floor to ceiling double Ikea Pax wardrobes, each with 3 internal drawers, top shelf and hanging rail. The room also has a desk, chair, and lots of shelves / additional storage and hanging space under the stairs and bed.
All bills are included, as is super fast 1000Mb wireless internet.
We are on a communal heating and hot water supply so there is always constant hot water with good water pressure and heating.
There are 4 other flatmates in total.
Everyone living there now is very friendly, nice and easy going. From Italy and Romania. Currently 1 lady and 3 guys.
I organise the viewing times and the viewings will be directly with the current tenants so you can all meet with each other first to make sure you all like each other, as well as if you like the flat and the room - this is so important :-)
Please note due to the level of interest we can only fit in those who can come to view in person.
There are 2 nice bathrooms, a large shared kitchen, with a fairly new washer dryer, dishwasher, 2 large fridge freezers, microwave, oven, hob, and a table you can all sit around.
No shared lounge but the kitchen is a good size. The flat is split over 2 levels so it feels more like a house.
The flat is in an ex local authority block, around 5 minutes walk to Bermondsey tube station, which now has the night tube, so its only 2 stops to Canary Wharf, 3 stops to Waterloo and its super easy and fast to get into Central London or you could walk to London Bridge or Borough in about 20-30 minutes.
5 minutes walk to the river, many buses from Jamaica Road, 24 hour shops, South Bermondsey train station is also about 5-10 minutes walk, it's very convenient here.
We are nearly opposite the beautiful Southwark Park, there’s easy access to Surrey Quays shopping centre, Surrey Quays, Canada Water and Rotherhithe overground stations as well.
1 month's rent required as a deposit, and references from a current job / employment / self employment and also current landlord required.
Minimum stay 6 months, ideally looking for people looking for a long term rental as its so much nicer that way for the current tenants.
Please note this is NOT a party flat, this is a professional, quiet, tidy and clean flat share. Clean respectful students are also welcome :-)
