Large king-size en-suite room in Bermondsey

I’m moving out and looking for someone to take over my room in a spacious two-bed flat in Bermondsey (SE16), around a 10-minute walk from Bermondsey Tube.

The room:
It’s a large, bright double bedroom with a king-size bed, floor-to-ceiling window and its own en-suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower and loo.

There’s loads of storage, including a substantial built-in double wardrobe with sliding mirrored doors, plus additional shelving/storage. The room is also easily big enough for a full desk and WFH setup without feeling cramped – the desk and office chair in the photos aren’t included.

The king-size bed and two bedside tables will stay. I can also leave the black bookshelf pictured for £40 if wanted.

The flat:
The rest of the flat has a large open-plan kitchen (including both a dishwasher and washer-dryer) and living room, balcony, and two separate shoe/storage cupboards,

You’d be sharing with Matt, late 20s, who works in finance and splits his time between home and the office. He’s laid-back and into F1. He has his own bathroom.

The building:
The building has secure entry, a 24/7 concierge who can take parcels, and a free residents’ gym in the basement. On-street parking is available.

There are also two large residents’ rooftop terraces with seating and sun loungers and great views across London, including the City and Canary Wharf.

Tesco is nearby and Bermondsey Tube (Jubilee line) is around a 10-minute walk away.

Rent & tenancy:
Rent is £1,250pcm, with bills usually around £140pcm. That includes council tax, power, water and broadband, so it’s roughly £1,390 all-in in a normal month.

The room is available flexibly– there isn’t a fixed move-in date. You’d replace me on the existing tenancy, with a minimum 12-month term and one month’s notice. You’d also take over my existing £1,250 deposit. There is also the flexibility to discuss a shorter tenancy with both Matt and the landlord.

Single occupancy only – no couples. No pets and no smoking. WFH is absolutely fine.
