Clapham - Double room in split-level flat

Living Room

We have a double room with a good amount of storage space available in our spacious split-level first floor flat, part of a large Victorian house on a peaceful road in Clapham (£1000/month plus bills). The room is available any time after 11th October 2026. Interviews will be held 14th September.

The shared kitchen and living spaces are pretty large. There's a big living room with a giant comfy sofa and a fireplace, a separate kitchen with a brand new dishwasher, brand new oven, 2 fridge freezers and two separate shower rooms and a separate toilet - so there are no queues for the bathroom in the morning! Everything is spread across 2 floors, so there’s plenty of space. Your room would be on the upper floor of the flat.

Bills:
Bills are currently £150 a month (though this may change with the energy prices) and include TV & Broadband, Council Tax, utilities, and a cleaner every fortnight. There's usually a bit left over which we put towards buying communal supplies for the flat (toilet roll, cleaning products, etc).

Housemates:
You will be sharing with 3 other housemates (Kristy, Jack, & Matt), all late 20s-early 30s and all sociable and easy going. Kristy works in Health, Jack works in sales and Matt works as a civil servant.

Transport:
Northern Line: 10 minute walk to Clapham North and Clapham Common tubes, and about 15 mins from the new Nine Elms station.
Victoria Line: 20 minute walk to Stockwell or 15 minute bus ride to Vauxhall.
London Overground: less than 5 minutes to Wandsworth Road. (In a rush, less than 3 minutes - it’s basically at the bottom of the street). This section of the line connects directly with Clapham Junction, Peckham, Canada Water and Shoreditch.
There are also direct buses to Waterloo and the Strand every 10 minutes.

Local Area:
We’re in a great spot, on a quiet residential street but a short walk away from everything you’d need, including a great little Caribbean restaurant at the end of the road! Most of the supermarkets, bars, pubs and coffee shops are on Clapham High Street or Clapham Old Town, which are about 5 mins walk away, but there are also corner shops and a gym around the corner, and a giant Sainsbury’s just along Wandsworth Road.

For green space, Clapham Common is a 10 minute walk away and is vast, perfect for a run or a picnic. Battersea Park and the Thames Pathway are about a mile away in the other direction.

Our private landlord Paul is brilliant and is super receptive to any flat improvement ideas - if we ever have any problems he gets them fixed straight away.
