Large Double Room in East Dulwich – £950 pcm + bills

Hi, I’m Louis, and I’m looking for a new flatmate to share my lovely first-floor two-bedroom flat in East Dulwich.

The room is a large double on Barry Road, just a 5-minute walk from Dulwich Park. There’s a bus stop right outside with quick connections to Peckham Rye, and it’s also a great area for cycling — central London is under 30 minutes away by bike.

The flat

The flat has a huge living room with very high ceilings, large windows and plenty of natural light, with hardwood floors throughout. There’s lots of potential to make the living room feel really homely, and I’d be very happy for the new flatmate to personalise the space.

The bathroom is shared between the two of us.

The room

**£950 pcm + approximately £180 pcm bills**

The rent has remained unchanged for the past two years.

The room comes part-furnished with a double bed, huge floor-to-ceiling cupboard and bedside table, although you're welcome to bring your own furniture.

The contract would start on 25 September, with some flexibility around this for the right person.

A bit about me

I’m Louis, a trainee actuary, working from home a maximum of two days a week from my room.

Outside of work, I enjoy running, cycling, reading and spending time outdoors, and I play the piano from time to time.

I’m looking for someone friendly and sociable who enjoys good conversation and occasionally doing something together, but who also appreciates their own space. Ideally, the flat would feel like a friendly, relaxed home rather than simply two people sharing a property.

Who I think would suit the flat

Someone who:

* Would enjoy making the flat feel homely and personal
* Appreciates a large bedroom with excellent storage
* Enjoys having a lovely shared living room
* Wants easy access to Dulwich Park and plenty of green space
* Wants an easy commute into central London
* Is into running, cycling or other outdoor activities — although this definitely isn't a requirement!

Most importantly, I’m looking for someone clean, considerate, relaxed and friendly.
