You'd be sharing the house with 3 lovely housemates who have lived there for 1-3.5 years. I have lived here about 6 years and am leaving to go travelling.
*Please note, we're holding viewings from 7pm on Mon 20th and Tues 21st July.*
The Housemates -
Eman (she/they) works as a teaching assistant in an SEN school and loves a silly little craft project. Edijs (he/him) is a trans guy working freelance in commercial and film production. He enjoys going to live gigs and events, playing pool with friends and writing films. Sofie (she/her) works in social care and freelances as a maintenance gardener. She spends her free time with friends from her musical theatre choir, or out in the many green spaces of London.
We are looking for someone who likes a relaxed, welcoming home with like minded people. We get on well, and try to get together every now and then for an outing to get food or drinks, but also have busy lives on our own. We are not big on parties, but host friends for dinner or movie nights every now and again in the house, after checking in with housemates if they are bigger groups.
Ideally we are looking for someone in their mid-20s to mid-30s, who is female, trans, or non-binary. We’re a LGBTQ+ friendly household.
The House -
We rent from a private landlord. He will issue a new joint contract for a year when you join. The house is old with some quirks so occasionally needs bits of work done, which he helps to organise. We have a shared living room and a garden, with outdoor bike storage. The house is also full of plants, mainly thanks to Sofie's green fingers, feel free to bring your own too!
The room has a double bed, wardrobe, bedside cabinet and storage unit (desk not included). It is on the ground floor overlooking the garden.
Rent is £695/month. Bills come to about £135 on average (more in winter, less in summer, and may increase with cost of living). Council tax band D.
The Location -
The house is about a 10 minute walk to Thameslink or Southeastern trains (Herne Hill or Loughborough Junction), and 20 mins walk to Brixton. It’s close to lovely Brockwell Park and Ruskin Park, and Herne Hill Market and Brockwell Lido.
The room is ideally available from 9th August, with a little bit of flexibility.
Please contact us to arrange a 30 min timeslot, and let us know a bit about yourself in your message, and your availability for viewing and for moving in.
