Rent is £1,000 per month, with bills currently around £180 on top, including council tax. The deposit is £1,150. I work for Sky Sports, so free Sky is included too — one of the better work perks!

The flat has a large open-plan living area, a fully equipped kitchen and two bathrooms, so you’re not competing for the shower every morning — a bit of a rarity in a two-bed flat. It’s bright, well looked after and five minutes from both Herne Hill station and Brockwell Park. Brixton and the Victoria Line are also nearby.

About me

I’m Mark, 34, and work as a Producer in sport and entertainment, splitting my week between home and the office.

Outside work, I’m usually playing softball, catching up with friends, watching sport, travelling or getting stuck into a good game. I’m pretty easy-going and always happy to have a chat, but also appreciate us both having our own space.

Looking for

I’m looking for someone who wants a home rather than just somewhere to rent. It would be great to live with someone who’s happy to chat in the kitchen or occasionally watch a TV series together, while being equally comfortable doing their own thing. Friends are welcome, and I’m hoping to find someone who’s clean, considerate and easy to live with.

Bonus points if you enjoy cooking — I love putting together a proper Sunday roast once autumn rolls around.

Available from 1 September. Ideally, I’m looking for someone planning to stay for at least six months, although the tenancy operates on a rolling basis.
