The accommodation comprises a spacious super-king bedroom plus a separate private study/sitting room. Both rooms are included for £1,000 per calendar month, with all bills included and no deposit required.

Minimum stay: 3 months. A stay of 6 months or longer is preferred.

The accommodation would particularly suit a doctor, clinical fellow, clinical academic, postdoctoral researcher, visiting scholar, or member of university academic or research staff working at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust, the University of Oxford, Oxford Brookes University, or another recognised healthcare or research institution in Oxford.

Preference will be given to applicants in clinical, academic, or research roles whose working arrangements and household expectations are compatible with the existing professional household.

When enquiring, please include your job title, employer or academic institution, proposed move-in date, and expected length of stay. Both rooms are let together to one lodger only and are not available separately.

space for use as a private study, sitting room or dressing room. This room is included in the rent for the lodger’s sole use.

The upstairs bathroom is shared with one other upstairs lodger. The resident landlord uses a separate ground-floor bathroom.

The fully fitted ground-floor kitchen is shared by the household and includes the usual appliances. An additional fridge/freezer is available in the garage.

Shared facilities are used considerately and should be left clean and tidy after use.

The landlord is a Senior Consultant at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust and a Senior Academic at the University of Oxford. He lives at the property as the resident landlord and shares household facilities when in residence.

The other upstairs lodger is a male doctor working at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust. A male lodger may be preferred because the current household is male.

The household is:

free from recreational drug use;
pet-free.

The accommodation is for single occupancy only. No additional occupants, subletting, or overnight guests are permitted.

🪪 Checks and agreement
Applicants will be asked to provide:
suitable identification;
Right to Rent documentation or a share code;
an employer, academic institution, or previous landlord reference.

A written lodger agreement for the agreed period will be required before moving in. Rent is payable monthly in advance, and any extension beyond the initially agreed period must be confirmed in writing.
