A genuinely large double room in a spacious and peaceful home in Sandhills, East Oxford, directly opposite Thornhill Park & Ride.

I'm relocating from Oxford for work and am looking for someone to replace me on the existing joint tenancy. The room is available now, with a flexible move-in date, subject to the letting agent's referencing and approval process.

The room

The bedroom is unusually large for Oxford (approximately 5.6m × 3.5m), with a wide garden-facing window, lovely natural light, built-in cupboards and shelving, and plenty of room for both a bedroom and desk/seating area.

It can be offered furnished with a bed, mattress and bedside table, or unfurnished if you prefer to bring your own furniture.

This is a particularly spacious home for a two-person household, with:

There are frequent buses into Oxford, Oxford Tube services to London, and convenient airport coach connections. The John Radcliffe Hospital is approximately a 10-minute drive / 15-minute cycle away, while the A40 and ring road are easily accessible.

There are also fields, woodland paths and countryside walks close to the house.

Your housemate

You would be sharing with Luce, 36, a freelance creative and floral designer who works partly from home and occasionally travels for events.

It's a calm, friendly and quietly sociable household rather than a party house, so we're looking for someone mature, considerate and tidy in shared spaces, who enjoys having their own independent life while also being happy to share a welcoming home.

Female housemate preferred. Single occupancy only. Non-smokers.

Tenancy

This is a replacement on the existing joint tenancy, rather than a sublet. The successful applicant will need to complete the letting agent's usual referencing, affordability and approval process before the change of tenant can be finalised.

Rent: £1,085 pcm + bills
