An older lady with slow mobility and poor short-term memory is seeking a Sharer for her home to offer a little practical help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

She would value the friendly reassurance and company of having someone around her home in the evenings and overnight. She would also like some general practical help around the home such as picking shopping, cooking up to four meals each week, laying out breakfast some days, help looking after the house, carrying heavier items, and ad hoc practical help and errands as may be needed.

The accommodation on offer is a double bedroom, currently furnished with a single bed (swapping this for a double bed might be possible), and shared use of the shower room, kitchen, sitting room and garden.

The property is conveniently located in a lovely residential part of Burgess Hill, very close to a park, a few minutes’ walk to the town center, and just 10 minutes’ walk from the station.

The lady is currently supported with carers in the day. She has a caring family who keep in close contact, including one daughter lives across the road from her.

The lady enjoys company, loves reading poetry, doing crosswords and nature. She sometimes watches TV. She is also very fond of her friendly cat.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time (up to 15 hours per week in a mix of practical help plus a little company) to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker.
