Do you like peace ? Country flat, Brightwalton

Ad ref# 6620320

This is a really really nice place to live, IF you want peace and quiet and character. But yet have a friendly & caring neighbours.

It's a bit to read, but I am happy to fix a SKYPE call, so you can meet me & tour the flat. (Also, you might want to know about me, so check me out on LinkedIN and also here is my NGO that I founded Global MapAid.) I have grown up children who may visit occasionally, as will my girlfriend.

It is part of a larger building owned by a kind couple - my landlords just next door.

They are really happy to let me find another tenant (or tenant couple) and a new rental contract will be signed, making us severally and jointly liable, a shared situation.

The landlords like their privacy, but equally are most open & helpful.

The property is located at the edge of Brightwalton village and the surrounding area is stunningly beautiful - and good for for walks and running and cycling etc. Various country pubs, good for an ale and some remarkable conversation.

Stunning views, if you like painting, or have feel for poetry.

It a second floor flat.
The heating is oil, which is paid for by the landlords and therefore free. Yes, free, he's a very good egg.

Other utilities, electricity and water need to be paid for, electricity is about £40 per month, water is paid for within the rent. Broadband on Vodafone, is £10 for up to 8 portals and 7.5GB of data per month, but we can buy more, if needs be. Poll tax is £52 per month I can show you a spreadsheet for costs, which makes all this easier to understand.
No landline.

It would be possible to hire a cleaner to come regularly. But I'd like to have a shoes-off approach, at the door, as the country is seriously muddy !

Sadly, dogs, cats and other pets are not allowed, but if a friend comes to visit for the day and wants to bring a dog, the landlord just needs to be informed by a quick phone call, and it will be ok. Actually I love dogs and cats, so bring it on :-)

The landlords value peace and quiet, however we can play music in the living room, our rooms, all day long if needed, but not madly loud between 11pm and 9am.

Also...

I'd rather have a TV free home and instead, at least in the living room, write, talk, play music, after work. If you want a tv in your room you are welcome, but will need to set up and pay the tv licence.

Public transport is two busses per day, I put the calendar on google drive here: goo. gl/Xq1PY3

It's probably better to have a car...there is car parking, off road on the gravel drive.

BY car.....Brightwalton to train station Didcot Parkway is 24 minutes to Wantage is 14 minutes, to Hungerford is 23 minutes, to Newbury is 20 minutes, to Oxford 43 minutes.

The room is a seriously large double room, with double bed, so could do for a married couple or a single person.
There is a garage for a bicycle.

Shops best reached by car, best in Wantage or Hungerford... we can share shopping...

I'd like to have a shared food & consumables arrangement, where each month we divide the bill equally.

If friends come and eat that's all included in this, occasional hospitality always seems a good idea.
