Double Room - Available - Goring

Welcome to our house.

Toby (Housemate) and I are looking for a young professional to move into our place ideally as soon as possible.

I am the Landlord and have recently found a job in Manchester, where I will be living most of the time. Toby, who works locally as a teacher, lives in the house daily but is out every weekday during term time for work.

We are sociable, friendly professionals who enjoy outdoor life, sports, watching films and doing fun activities.

If you are unfamiliar with Goring, it is a quaint village based on the Berkshire/Oxfordshire border and it sits on the river Thames. There are several shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants in the village, and there is a train station located centrally. There are many great areas to go for walks, and there are communal activities to join such as the cricket and football clubs and pub quiz teams! If you enjoy a nice relaxing place to live, with plenty of outdoor space and fresh air, but within an easy commute of Reading, London, Oxford, then this is the village for you.

The house is a quiet 3-bedroom bungalow based in Goring. The direct train to Reading, London Paddington and Oxford is only a 10-minute walk away, ideal for commuters.

We have parking available for up to 4 cars and 2 outside garden spaces to relax in.

The property has a kitchen, 2x shared living room spaces, 3x bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and plenty of outdoor space.

I am moving up to Manchester for work but will be living in the property for a few days every couple of weeks. Toby lives in the garage conversion meaning the rest of the house is fairly unoccupied which is perfect for someone working either fully remotely or on a hybrid basis.

The room available is a double bedroom with a large wardrobe, chest of drawers, double bed, bedside table and room to personalise. The furnishings are all brand new including the mattress. The room is quiet and is adjacent to the bathroom.

In terms of our new Housemate, we are looking for a someone who is sociable, friendly and who will keep the house clean and tidy, as we do.

As the landlord, I am relaxed regarding the contract arrangements and am happy to consider any specific requests you may have eg over notice periods etc. Additionally, if there are any personal touches you would want in your room, I am happy to accommodate these if we can. The rent is negotiable, happy to discuss this if there is interest.
