Ensuite Double - pay less rent by babysitting
We are a family of 4 with 2 young children (6&8) and we are looking for a lodger who can provide a maximum of 7 hours of childcare a week (1, sometimes 2 days at most) of before and after school childcare, in return for reduced rent, plus some occasional babysitting in the evenings. You would need to have a car and have some experience with looking after children. The more childcare you can do, the lower the rent. Negotiable. I mostly work from home but have to go into London some days or work beyond 3pm, hence the need for help.
In return, you get an ensuite double bedroom with shower on your own floor of the house, with an incredible view. The kitchen and living areas are shared with the family but we do have 2 TV rooms so we don't have to fight over the remote! It would particularly suit someone who needs to study in the area but is free from 3-7pm 1-2 days a week, so not someone in full time employment. Ideally you would want to fit in as part of the family but with your own space too.
