Manchester to Broadbottom 20 mins

Ad ref# 914476 Mon-Fri ONLY

Broadbottom Village railway station is 20 mins from Manchester Piccadilly station.
It’s a 10 minute train journey from Broadbottom to Glossop.
It’s just a few minutes drive to the M67/M60 motorway network - and only 20 mins drive to Manchester city centre.
It’s 5 minute walk from the house to the train station.

The rent includes gas, electricity, water and internet.

The house is on a quiet private street with no through traffic. There’s parking directly outside

The available bedroom is a south facing large double attic bedroom. It has three velux windows with views over the Peak District hills and Coobes Edge.
It’s a sunny, private room with old exposed beams and stripped pine floors. There are antique bedstead, desk, wardrobe and chest of drawers. There’s a telephone point and a smoke alarm.
The room takes up the whole of the top floor and has it's own private staircase.

The cottage has been restored throughout and has original features over four floors, with sash windows, wooden floors and a log burning stove. There’s a seperate living room, study and kitchen.

The bathroom has antique mirrors and cabinet, a claw foot bath and views over the Peak District hills.

There is a private walled garden, with seating, at the front; and from the kitchen at the back there is a seated courtyard area with trees and climbing roses.
The house has fibre optic broadband.

The kitchen has built in units and a free standing dresser, a gas oven with hob, microwave, washing machine etc.

The village has an award wining real ale brewery and pub with open fires, pub quizzes and music gigs. It’s a friendly and welcoming village and the home to artists, musicians, actors, writers and walkers. There’s an annual Broadbottom Gay Pride event and traditional local festivals.
There are many community groups in the village and local sport and leisure activities. Broadbottom sits on the edge of the Peak District.
The Etherow River, which runs through Broadbottom and forms the natural boundary between Cheshire, Tameside and Derbyshire, supports varied wildlife.
The walks and bike trails in the hills and woods form part of the Transpennine Trail and lead to the local market town of Glossop with its independent bars, restaurants and shops; and to Marple and the neighbouring villages of Hayfield and Charlesworth.

It’s a three minute walk from the house to the river and the woods.
I work, gym and socialise a lot in Manchester as well as Broadbottom. I’m looking for an easy going person as a housemate.
