Double room in quiet rural cottage

East Sussex. Double room with additional separate dressing-room/office-space in detached house, in a village with good road links to Brighton, Lewes and Eastbourne.
Available from 1st Dec - but it's not an ideal time of year to be moving so I'm happy to be flexible about dates.

Peace and quiet with views from every window, but only 30-minutes along the A27 to Brighton, 15-mins to Lewes and 20-mins to Eastbourne. (nearest station is Berwick, but its about 50mins walk across the fields, so a car is essential). Village has a shop, with lots of good pubs and food nearby.

Altogether the house has: central heating, double-glazing, living room with wood-burner, dining room, large kitchen, broadband, off-road parking, and a garage. There’s also a large secluded garden with lawns and fruit trees (and there’s room for a vegetable patch if you fancy fighting off the rabbits, birds and foxes :-).

I rent the house, and have been sharing with a friend, but they're about to move to London for work, so the room with views over the meadows is available, and it come with an additional dressing-room/office-space.

It's a really special calm and secluded place. Ideal or someone who wants to live in the countryside, but also needs easy driving access to the town.

A bit about me: I work Mon-Fri in research at Sussex Uni; well-travelled, liberal, love being outdoors. Am very busy at work and socially so the house is a quiet haven (I regret that I'm allergic to animals, so can't have any pets).
