Great room in Deansgate/Castlefield flat

Hi guys,

I’m a 29 year old professional currently living in a great flat in the Deansgate/Castlefield area and I’m looking for a new flatmate, as my current flatmate has bought a house and will be moving out around 20th June.

The rent for the room is £550 per month, bills come in at around £250 each, so the total cost is around £800 all in per month.

The flat is right next to Deansgate train station and tram stop, so is a great location for commuting.

The room comes with a double bed, two bedside tables, a wardrobe, and a small desk that is adequate for WFH if you want it.

You have your own direct access to the balcony through your window. The lounge also has access to the balcony too.

The main bathroom will be all yours as the other room has an en suite.

The flat itself is furnished to a basic level, but the plants, prints, TV etc in the pictures are my current flatmate’s, so they will be going with him when he moves out - so if you’ve got stuff like this you want to bring to the flat then you’re more than welcome.

The building has some flammable cladding on it that requires removing. However, this hasn’t progressed at all over the last 4 years that my current flatmate has lived here, and I’m comfortable renewing my tenancy here for another year as the likelihood of any major work starting in the next 12 months is pretty low. Obviously this cannot be guaranteed.

About me:

I’m a friendly, sociable, tidy person, that’s happy either spending time with my flatmate or us each doing our own thing. We don’t have to be best mates but it would be nice to enjoy spending time and interests with each other.

Although I’m quite social and do go out a lot, I’ve recently stopped drinking, except for on rare occasions, so ideally I’m looking for a flatmate that also isn’t out on the piss multiple times a week. My other interests are football, most other sports, keeping active at the gym, running, hiking, cooking, film, TV, music, reading, PlayStation etc.

While I’m not a complete clean freak I do try to keep things tidy and would expect you to do the same.
