The flat is fully furnished, with high standard equipment.
The available room is very spacious, with a closet and a separate bathroom. The flat has a fully equipped kitchen, a balcony and a spacious living room (open space concept).
The flat is in a great location: 2 minutes walk from Aldi and PureGym, and a 10 minute walk from Piccadilly Garden/Station.
You will share the flat with me, Moe; a full-time PhD student. I also have a part-time job. I do most of my uni work from home (study from home 3-4 times/week). I'm originally from Canada.
I have a pretty busy schedule, but I try to make time for the gym, socialising with friends and travelling whenever possible.
When it comes to selecting a future flatmate, below are a few preferences:
- An LGBTQ+ 🏳️🌈 flatmate preferred, however, not mandatory. Someone who's open-minded and LGBTQ+ friendly to say the least.
- Someone who's clean and tidy. I clean up after myself - in spaces such as the kitchen after cooking, and I expect my flatmate to do the same. In addition to that, I like to clean the common spaces about once a week. I prefer a flatmate with similar cleaning habits; someone who's open to taking turns when it comes to cleaning chores.
- My home is my sanctuary. I like to keep the space relatively quiet and peaceful. I tend to go out and socialise with my friends, and occasionally invite people over for small get-togethers. I don't have parties at home. I prefer a flatmate who has a similar preference/use of their living space.
- My current flatmate is moving out (moving back home) and he's taking most of his belongings with him, including cutlery, vacuum, etc. It would be great find a flatmate willing to split the cost of buying essential household electronics, cutlery, etc.
- I would hope to have some sort of a friendship with my flatmate. I don't think any of us want to live with a complete stranger. Happy to discuss this further 😊.
Bills are ~ £200 per month per person (internet is included):
- Council tax (~ £80-100); as a student I'm exempt from the council tax.
- Electricity (~ £100, however, in Jan/Feb, the bill will be higher).
- Water (~ £20-30).
