The house is only 10 mins walk from Hitchin town centre for local shops, bars and restaurants. It has all the luxuries of modern living but retains its period character and features and along with the first floor double room, there is access to a shared bathroom, separate shower, downstairs toilet, lounge, kitchen, utility and garden. ALL BILLS (INCLUDING A WEEKLY CLEANER) are covered in the rent and there is wireless broadband and freeview TV in the lounge. Parking is on street only and a permit may be needed if you have a car, which costs about £75/year. The current tenants are busy but sociable professionals and are looking for a respectful and tidy house mate that shares some common interests and would be generally pleasant to live with.
The room is not suitable for couples, anyone who smokes or anyone with a pet.
