This is a lovely large, sunny en-suite room, in a barn conversion in a village about 20 mins drive north of Peterborough and about 5 minutes drive south of Spalding. Cycling into Spalding takes about 20 minutes.

The room is a large double room which is clean and bright with the original barn's wooden beams. There is a solid hand-built, integral wardrobe and cupboards unit so you should not lack of storage space.

The bed is a solidly-built, oak, king-sized bed with a deep mattress designed for a good night’s sleep and for comfort when reading the Sunday papers in bed to the sound of the church bells coming in through the window.

There is a new smart TV mounted on the wall.

There is a kettle in the room for your convenience,

The floors are solid wood so keeping it clean is easy.

The Kitchen Diner is a big L shaped room with a large range gas cooker, a dishwasher and a big American fridge, so cooking is a pleasure if that's your bent. Off the kitchen is a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer for you to use.

The snug is there if you want to watch TV downstairs. It has an open log fire and a wall-mounted flat-screen TV with a Humax box.

There is plenty of parking on our drive.

The garden has been our nemesis but now we are out of lock-down we are hoping to find somebody to tackle it.

I'm sure if you wanted to grow your own vegetables then we could find you a spot to do your own thing. We have a huge mature apple tree, blackberry bushes and elder trees so if you wanted to make pies, jams or elderflower cordial, you go right ahead,

This is a country house, large and quiet, fairly quintessentially English. We like the quiet life, with the communal areas kept spick and span. Because of that, we all make sure we clean up after ourselves quickly so nobody has the inconvenience of working around somebody else’s mess. We are also very respectful of other’s space but we are very friendly and like to chat.

This is definitely no party-house; we are professionals whose children have flown the nest, but we do like people around. The house is certainly large enough that we don't get in one another’s way.

We are made up of two accountants, one teacher and an engineer.

For us the keywords would be respectful; clean & tidy; considerate & friendly.

We are right next to a church and they practise their lovely bell-ringing every Tuesday evening. It's amazing to hear in the background. You can also hear owls in the garden, should you care to listen for them.
