Choice of 2 Doubles in Renovated Acton Town House

There is one room available but a pick of two alternatives depending on your budget - the bigger room is the former master bedroom (£1,100) and the alternative is the smaller back bedroom (£850). They are both doubles and situated in a large 4 bedroom house that’s situated round the corner from Acton Town tube. They can be furnished or unfurnished. The house is really well located being approx c35-40 min door to door on the Piccadilly line into the west end. It also benefits from night tube (Piccadilly to Acton Town), night buses into the city, and a quick route west into Heathrow. It’s also a c20min walk to the Lizzie line at Acton Mainline. For drivers, it’s 10 minutes drive to the motorway, and residents parking can be arranged (price tbc if wanted).

The house has been recently renovated by me to a high standard with an open plan kitchen/diner/lounge, plus a separate lounge (ie two lounges… one with a 65” tv, the other with a 55” tv and woodburning stove). It’s a four bed house but I live here by myself at the moment; I’m just looking to rent out one of the bedrooms. That leaves a spare furnished bedroom, plus one empty room upstairs so there’s scope to rent those rooms as additional office or storage space if more room is desired. The garden is very big for London (c100ft long) and it is south facing with lots of sun and two decking areas so it’s great for BBQs in summer.

On the two communal TVs downstairs (one in each lounge), I’ve already got Netflix, Paramount+, Discovery+, and Prime, plus SkyGo on one of them on the PS5. Plenty to choose from and so if there’s a clash of programmes, there’s two TVs/two lounges we can go to!

There’s also one main bathroom which is shared/communal, and a downstairs w/c.

In the kitchen, there’s two fridges and lots of cupboards so plenty of space for storage and the kitchen is designed for those who like cooking (nb it’s an induction hob, plus microwave/oven, and oven/grill) There’s a dishwasher, and separate washer and dryer. The island has bar seats for easy socialising plus a separate dining table.

Locally there’s a Morrisons superstore 5 minutes walk away so very easy to do regular shops. Lots of local restaurants and takeaways too! For those who like the outdoors beyond the large garden, the Thames and Kew Gardens are a c30 min walk away, and the massive Gunnersbury Park is c15 mins walk away. For gym goers, there are budget gyms and leisure centre within a 10 min walk, and a Virgin Active within a 20 min walk!

Ideally I’m looking for a professional housemate upto 32yo. I’m relatively sociable so someone social would be preferred but at the same time, I enjoy my quiet/downtime too and have a busy job working from home mostly so it’s not a party house (although open to the odd party and friends coming round occasionally etc). Someone clean and happy to pitch in with cleaning would be great.

The only bills which would be added and split equally are council tax (Band F) and electric/water/gas. The broadband and all the tv packages are included. That said, if a fixed monthly cost is preferred inclusive of everything, this can be discussed too!

I’ve got a couple of very friendly cats already living in the house so it might not be the house for you if you have allergies or dislike cats!

It’s available immediately but I’m in no rush to rent it out - would prefer to find someone I get on well with so can be flexible within reason on moving in times!
