Flexible month-ish long sublet in Angel, Zone 1

Room (Mine)

We’re looking for someone to take the room for 2-6 weeks. One flatmate is leaving and we have a gap before a friend of mine can join us - but his moving date is flexible so let us know what works for you. The move in date is between 9th - 14th June (**though we can accommodate from the 3rd - see end of message), whatever works for you, and the move out date is totally up for discussion, but would need to be agreed beforehand and no earlier than 28th June. No deposit but we would require the rent for the duration of the sublet up front. Rent is 890pcm / £208pw and includes all bills (and communal stuff like loo roll).

About the house: 3rd floor flat with a sunny balcony. About 8 mins walk to Angel Station and 15 mins downhill to Kings Cross (20 with a suitcase). Great pubs in the area and the windows look directly over leafy Barnard Park opposite. We’re a super relaxed house if you are clean and respectful. We often do eachothers washing up (not that we leave it out much!) and keep the common areas clean without a rota, and would hope anyone joining us would have a similar cooperative attitude. The rooms are bright and have big windows that open wide so you can get a decent breeze on a hot day. It’s a bit shabby around the edges but the kind of stuff you stop noticing after a couple of days! Sainsbury’s is about 5 mins away and we have a friendly corner shop right at the bottom of the block.
You’d effectively be subletting from my friend Jack who hasn’t moved in yet so the room is fairly empty, just a bed, small desk and clothing rail. If you have your own bedding that would be ideal but we can arrange something if not.

About us: I’m an illustrator working mostly from home with 2 days in studio, Peter is in hospitality so is out a lot of the time working long hours. We enjoy a chat and an occasional beer on the balcony but mostly socialise separately, though happy if you want to be more involved! I’m an extrovert who works alone so you might get the brunt of some ADHD chatter at the end of the day. I also have a snake - unlikely that you would ever see it as it lives in a tank in my room but I wouldn’t want to accidentally have someone with a phobia move in and find out when it was too late!

**If you were interested in coming earlier - I’m actually on holiday from 3rd-10th so you could have my room up until the 9th when the spare room is vacated. I have a very nice mattress 👌
