**We will be hosting some viewings from next week as a house, I will reach out and invite you to a viewing if we think you’d be a great fit.**

We're looking for a new housemate to join our very special, large home in Brixton.

Our housemate is moving in with her girlfriend so we have a room coming free. The room is a bright and decent-sized double, upstairs and facing the garden. It is partially furnished with a bed, mattress and a large wardrobe.

Rent is £550 and bills are c. £120 a month. The room is available from 4th June, contract length is flexible but we're looking for someone who wants to join longer term and share in calling this house a home 🙂

The house is a big 5 bedroom Victorian terrace, a 15 min walk to Brixton tube, Brixton market and 5 mins to Brockwell park. We have a big kitchen, a good sized garden with BBQ and firepit (although the garden is in its post-winter state so currently looks less green than the photo in the listing!), big open plan living room with a big table for games / hosting, piano and an open fire! There's one shower room and one bathroom.

It's an absolute gem, and really amazing value for the area. We have such good rent because we have a good relationship with the landlords; taking care of the house and doing simple maintenance / DIY as required. There’s no agency involved.
2 of the house are queer and we’re very much a queer-friendly house. We’re all in our 30s, so likely looking for someone 28+
You’d be moving in with Holly (she/her) 32, a photographer who loves live music, painting and the pub, Manish (he/him) 36, an actor and NHS worker, Sophie (she/her) 33, a Product Manager for festivals, who loves events, trapeze and board games. Jules (she/her) 39 is a solo mum who does design, organises festivals and plays in a band. She and her 1 yr old Arlie live with us part-time, staying at the house 1 or 2 nights a week. The bedroom shares one wall with Jules and Arlie, but he sleeps well through the night.

We are all fairly busy but like to make time to socialise - cook together, play games, have record nights, chill with films etc. We enjoy meeting each other's friends and welcoming new people into the space, but we also respect each other's privacy and space when you need it.

There are a few quirks with the property and some things are a bit old, but it’s big and beautiful at its core! It’s essential that someone joining the house is up for pitching in with household chores and wants to help us keep improving the space. We’re allowed to hang things on the walls, paint etc if we want so we’d love you to bring some ideas :-)

We know London life is crazy but we would like someone who uses the house for more than just a room. We are looking for someone who is chilled out, considerate and wants to share in the energy of making this house a home.
Please message us with a bit about yourself; what you do, your age, interests etc, and what you really like in a house 🙂. If we feel you would be a good fit we will get back to you to arrange a viewing.

Access info: The house has 1 small step to enter and the bedroom is upstairs on the first floor. There are many stairs throughout the house.
