AFFORDABLE accommodation offered in Clapham, London, SW4 area, excellent opportunity for a Female homesharer who is looking to live in a beautiful home with some period features.
We are a Not-for-Profit charity in London who run a Homeshare programme, where we find Homesharers who are willing to provide approximately 10 hours a week of help/support and companionship to a householder who has a spare room.

HOUSEHOLDER
A lovely couple in their 70’s, live in a spacious 5 bedroom house with a garden in Clapham, London. The couple have a great support network within their family to provide some level of support already but would like a homesharer for company and support with day to day routines. The couple are two very different individuals, The lady is very fit and active she enjoys many social engagements weekly. The gentlemen has Parkinson’s and some other health complications. Although he can get confused from time to time, he is in good spirits. He enjoys reading, films, and watching football, and is a passionate Liverpool FC fan.
The ideal homesharer would be female aged between 24 - 35, speaks English with no heavy accents. Welcomes a smoker or non-smoker but NO smoking in the house.
Is open to some pets like fish, cat but NO dog.
Someone who is tech savvy, that can assist when required.
Someone who is nice, caring, understanding, kind and compassionate, tidy, and is bubbly and socially outgoing that can be flexible. Can offer some low level companionship at times but space when required.
Someone who will be able help prepare some of their evening meals and provide regular medication prompts.
Will consider applicants working from home 1-2 days per week.
This couple have family visit and stay over occasionally. They have a weekly cleaner a gardener and a window cleaner. They and their family feel that an overnight presence will provide the support and reassurance for the couple to thrive and continue living in their own property independently.
ACCOMMODATION
Semi detached 5 bed house with drive way and off street parking and spacious well maintained garden.
A beautiful large entrance hallway
Downstairs has 2 large lounges, open plan kitchen diner, toilet with sink.
Both lounges have TV.
Good WiFi connection throughout.
First floor has 3 bedrooms, this couple share a room on this floor with their own en suite.
2nd floor has 2 double bedrooms with a family bathroom.
The Homesharer will have the street facing double bedroom room on the second floor consisting of a double bed, with wardrobes and a bookshelf (if required).
Use of family bathroom on second floor that will be shared with guests when visiting.
Use of front living room. Shared use of Kitchen dining and garden spaces.
APPLICATION PROCEDURE
The room is available May 2024 subject to DBS, Reference and ID checks and after an initial homesharer interview has been organised.
