Ad ref# 16926959

Seeking one female lodger for short-term let between these dates:

Sun 21 April - Sun 30 June 2024

* If you are interested, please send info with your enquiry (eg. rental dates, profession, days commuting to work) so we can see if your expectations about the rental fit with ours.
ABOUT THE RENTAL:

Spacious double bedroom in a light and airy 5 bed semi-detached house, with garden, on quiet street on the beautiful Ruskin Park (see last photo for the view from our front door).

Very well connected for central London - by bus, tube, train or bicycle.

10 min walk across the park to Kings College Hospital.

Looking for a working professional who likes a tidy and peaceful environment, to share with me, my partner and our 18-year-old girl / boy twins who are currently studying for A-Levels.

Ideally someone who would commute to work for most of the week, but I don’t mind if you occasionally need to work from home.

Bills included: water, broadband, council tax, gas*, electricity*. [*we keep the heating off during the day on weekdays, as much as possible. If you need to occasionally work from home please let us know in advance so we can arrange whether you need to contribute to the energy bill]

The bedroom is 3.6m (12ft) x 3.1m (10ft) with a double bed, large wardrobe (hanging space & shelves), big chest of drawers, big desk (with WiFi halo) & chair. Desk overlooks the back garden and window has a black-out blind.

The bath/shower room is bright and newly decorated and is shared with our twins – we can arrange times to suit everyone.

The kitchen has usual mod cons inc. dishwasher and washing machine.

PARKING: On-street parking is free except Mon-Fri @ 12-2pm when a permit or online payment is required.

We have space for one bike in our secure bike storage shed in the front garden.

We have 2 cats (shorthair)

NEIGHBOURHOOD:
Our house is quietly positioned on Ruskin Park and yet it’s just a 15-20 walk (or take the bus) to Camberwell, Brixton, Herne Hill and Dulwich, where you’ll find numerous pubs and restaurants, Ritzy Cinema and Brockwell Lido. The Cambria Pub serves food and is a 2 mins walk from our house, and 3 local supermarkets are within a 10 min walk.

TRANSPORT LINKS:
Excellent links into the city and out of London via Denmark Hill and North Dulwich Stations
7-10 min walk to Denmark Hill Station (Zone 2, London Overground)
20 min walk or a short bus ride to Brixton Underground (Zone 2, Victoria line).
Average public transport journey times to: Oxford Circus (30 mins), Canary Wharf (35 mins), Westminster (35 mins), London Bridge (30 mins)
Well located for buses all over London - too many to list!
