Beautiful restored & modernised 4 story Victorian house in Hackney.

You’ll be living a mix of friendly people from around the world. The house provides a social and family atmosphere, and the living room is often alive with conversation, food and drink, music, the occasional film night, art night, and games.

The main shared space is our open plan living room and kitchen, which contains all utensils known to man, a six-person fridge and eight ways to make coffee. The living room has leather sofas, floor cushions, Frame TV, and the whole house has a small jungles worth of plants, wooden floors and questionable artwork.

There are two bathrooms - one has a walk-in shower/wet room, and the other is a traditional bathroom for your therapeutic bathing needs.

On the lower ground, there’s a second kitchen/ utility room with a washer & tumble dryer.
There is also a cellar, which we have plans of transforming into a wine, cheese and pickle museum. Right now it's holding plenty of vino. There's also an attic at the top of the house for storage.

Come the summer, the garden comes to life, with a large table and seating, barbecues and ongoing gardening plans.

The house has speedy broadband and is well-heated for the colder times.

Kitchen, bathroom & laundry essentials are included, as well as fresh OJ & milk from our local milkman.

We also have a cleaner once a week.

Area:
The house is on a peaceful no-through road, with Chatsworth Market at one end, & Lower Clapton Road at the other. The area has everything you could possibly need, spoilt for choice for pubs, restaurants, interesting shops and there's an independent cinema nearby. The local community is lovely, there's a neighbourhood WhatsApp group and we're part of a shared allotment across the road, there's also a street party every year.

Hackney Marshes, the River Lea canal & nature reserve are just down the road, for essential escapes from city life. The Olympic park is also nearby with a cycling velodrome and Olympic sized swimming pool and plenty of fitness clubs on our doorstep too.

Transport:
It's a 10min walk to Hackney Central, Homerton, Clapton & Hackney Downs Overground Stations.
The buses 38, 55, 56, 106, 242, 253, 254, 308, 393, 394, 425 & 488 are all a stone's throw away.
Shoreditch, Oxford Street, Kings Cross & Liverpool Street are all about 30 mins away or quicker by bicycle.
