Hi! We are looking for a new housemate to join our friendly house. Our current housemate - who has been here many years - is to move in with his partner.

Just to say from the outset that unfortunately, because of our landlord, we can't take pets, couples or students (even if you're doing a funded PhD).

The room available is at the front of the house and is on the first floor. It is 15m2, ample space for a double bed and is furnished with a ornamental fire place plus two large sash windows that look out onto the leafy street.

We are two minutes from Haringay Station, and about 15 from Finsbury Park Station. This also puts us in the middle of Finsbury Park, delicious bakeries, food shops, pubs, coffee places and bottle shops. We're really lucky to live in such a nice part of London.

We share a large kitchen/dining room where we often cook, have meals together and collaborate on emptying the wine rack.

There’s a living room with sofas and a big tv where we binge shows together in the winter months. There’s also a home office that we all share - there’s plenty of space for people to work from home!

There’s a big and bright bathroom on the first floor, and a large utility room and toilet in the basement. SpareRoom limits the number of photos so it’s hard to accurately depict how massive and lovely the house is! It covers 4 floors…

The house has four bedrooms in total. The other three rooms are taken by Clare, Emily and Jonnie, who work in legislation, higher education and publishing.

We are a pretty social house but there is no commitment to being that. We are good mates, though did not know each other before renting together. We hang out when we do (both at home and at the pub, gigs, festivals etc) and do our own thing when we don’t.

We're a happy household that like to gather in the kitchen in the evenings and generally be considerate of each other. We all pitch in to help keep the house clean and the garden green. You'd definitely get bonus points if you've got a green thumb or have DIY talent.

Move-in is available from early June, with the first full rent payable from the 10th June. You'd be subletting from Tom, who is moving out, for one month at a slightly lower rate, and then joining the new lease for the 10th July.

Bills are typically around £170.00 and we manage our bills, cleaning supplies, and any other joint purchases etc using a joint Monzo account. It's very low-stress!
