Kitchen view (your bathroom at rear)

Hi,

My name is Cathy and I live in Newham, east London. My typical Victorian end of terrace family home is a ten minute bus ride from Canning Town station or a similar length walk from Upton Park station. It is well situated for travel to Canary Wharf and Stratford. Past lodgers have traveled daily to Liverpool Street, London Bridge and the City quite happily from here.

I have a pleasant, quiet room to let in my lovely home. Currently, there are bunk beds in place but this will be swapped for either a single bed or comfortable double bed settee according to the requirements of my new lodger. The bedroom is simply decorated with a slim built in wardrobe, tallboy and dressing table for your use.

Although not en suite, you'd have your own newly installed bathroom on the downstairs floor. I have my own bathroom upstairs but would need occasional access to yours as I store things in the large cupboards therein. Rest assured that no one else would be using your bedroom and it'd be perfectly safe to leave things in your room when not in residence.

You would share the kitchen which is large and recently decorated. I reserve use of the living room for myself and my family but you'd be free to use my other spare room (which is set up as a children's playroom) to study, work or watch TV. There a good sized table and chair in there and the room is again warm, cosy and quiet.

All the usual kitchen facilities will be available to share including washer, dryer and airing rack, microwave oven and double cooker with grill plus all pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. I can provide and also launder bedding and towels, on request.

Although currently 'between dogs', I hope to get a new one soon so you'll need to be OK with that. Small children are sometimes here overnight on Sundays and the next day but are gone by 7.30 or so on Monday evening.

Should you have a bicycle, there is a locked back yard with access through double gates. Move in date is negotiable and stay could be short term or up to one year in duration.
