Bright double in mews cottage 15 mins to King's X
Mon - Fri let
Monday to Friday let: Bright double room in a quiet, clean and charming 2-bed mews cottage 15 mins from King’s Cross, 25 mins from Old Street.
The cottage is on a (very!) quiet square just off the Stroud Green road. I renovated it last year with a lot of love, and keep it clean and tidy. The ground floor is an open plan kitchen and living room, with new appliances, a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Upstairs has my room, a shared bathroom and this double room. It has a private garden and an ice bath if you are that way inclined! A parking permit is available for purchase from the council for around £15-20 a month depending on your car emissions.
The cottage is very close to the Parkland Walk 3-mile nature trail and within minutes of plenty of supermarkets and good independent restaurants, cafes, pubs, dryer cleaner, butcher, pharmacies, GP practices - everything you could want. It's also a 15 minute walk or 5 min bus to the gorgeous Crouch End which has more shops and restaurants, and three gyms.
Transport: A 15 minute walk or 5 minutes bus (the bus stop is a 1 min walk from the house) to Finsbury Park Zone 2 station for the excellent Victoria & Piccadilly underground lines (both with trains every 1-3 minutes during peak hours). Superb for fast access to Central London: 5 mins to Kings Cross; 10 Mins to Oxford Circus.
Finsbury Park also has a train station with trains to Moorgate and Old Street. Direct links to Heathrow, Gatwick and Luton.
About me (live-in landlord): I'm a kind, creative and busy professional in my mid 30s. I work for the NHS, a few days a week from home and the rest in the office. I work hard, so in the week I spend my evenings either working or seeing friends. At the weekends I enjoy the arts (theatre, music of all sorts, art shows), writing my novel, hosting dinners, going on trips outside of London. I'm Jewish (ish ish ish - non practicing!) and gay.
I'm looking for someone friendly and considerate who is looking for a home from home. It would be lovely to find someone who would like to share some meals in the evenings, spend some time together at the weekends and with whom I have some things in common. I live with my two very friendly cats - Tolly and Melky, so cat lovers preferred!
It would be great if you could tell me a few basics about yourself - age, occupation, work pattern, expectations - in your reply. Thanks.
ID & references will be needed, and a rental agreement will be provided for clarity on both sides.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
