Double room for one in bright modernised flat 12 mins walk to Stockwell tube. £700 monthly includes everything but food and drink! Minimum planned stay 6 months please, although in fact you can give a month's notice at any time.

Flatmates are both friendly and intelligent. They have been sharing with a female postgrad student from Germany who is leaving only because her work placement is ending.

Fantastic location: Stockwell uniquely has Northern and Victoria lines. Wandsworth Road is 3 minutes' walk for shops and good bus service including night buses. Southbank Club gym 15 minutes walk up the Wandsworth Road, Sainsbury's further up the road. 2 minutes stroll to attractive Larkhall Park, which has new tennis courts, and about 20 minutes walk to Battersea Park.

The flat: is on 3rd floor with key fob entry and lift. The building is a bit scruffy outside (ex local authority) but don't be put off, inside the flat is very clean, modern, bright and sunny, and nicely furnished. The bedroom has a double bed and huge magnificient antique wardrobe. Sitting room has balcony, large screen TV, two sofas and a dining table; bathroom has bath and shower; separate toilet; and modern kitchen has gas hob and electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, new Bosch washing machine and tumble drier. Gas central heating (new boiler 2013).

Very attractive outlook on three sides onto communal gardens and trees, and away from the road on all sides. Off street parking for visitors using scratch cards. Unfortunately a resident's permit for tenants is not practical as you have to produce driving licence, vehicle log book etc with the address of the flat!). No smoking in the flat.

Technically I am a resident landlord but in practice I am there very rarely. I am a retired GP and live in Hertfordshire, but am often in Thailand with my wife. My 21 year old son has his own internet business. My son (or myself) very occasionally stays in the spare bedroom ('owner's bedroom' in photos). We have a friendly border collie (Max) who may stay at the same time.

You may use this spare bedroom for an occasional guest for the odd night, with the agreement of the other flatmates and myself.

The photos are from the original sales particulars, the flat is now much better furnished. Sorry there is no photo of the room to let.
