3 small doubles available in Peckham houseshare
There's 3 rooms available in my lovely 4-bed Peckham (SE15) houseshare from the end of June
I’ve lived here for 6 years but my other housemates are moving on so I’m looking for some other people who are keen to make a new home together!
You’d be moving in with me, Ellen (she/they) - 29yr old queer from SE London, working as a political organiser on climate change.
I’d prefer to live with people 25+ in age but am not super fussy if the vibe is good. All genders, backgrounds etc welcome! I’d love to find other queer people to live with if possible 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈
The rooms are small doubles:
1 ensuite (downstairs) - £800/month
2 others (upstairs) - £775/month.
Bills come to about £115/month, plus about £70/month for communal food and supplies (read on for info).
You’ll be signing onto a new annual house contract - you’ll need to be able to put down a deposit and pass the landlord’s reference check (can share more details).
It’s a lovely house with an amazing communal space, small garden and incredible location just off Rye Lane. I’ve lived here for 6 years and been really happy!
Up till now, we have chosen to live communally in the house - we buy almost all food and supplies collectively, and cook for each other when we can.
I’m a vegetarian and I would prefer to live in a mostly meat-free house, but am not super strict about it - might just mean not buying meat from the house funds. At the moment we get a weekly veg box from a local supplier and try to order the rest of our food in bulk shops.
With new folks moving in there’s obviously some flexibility in this but limited kitchen / storage space means it wouldn’t be a great option for everyone to opt out of this system completely! It’s also been a really nice, relaxed way to live and much cheaper.
I’m up for discussing this set up and figuring it out with people, especially as I know this isn’t how most houseshares tend to work - but if you’re open to it, keeping the house running this way is a strong preference.
If you’re keen and this sounds like somewhere you want to live, please send over your answers to the following questions as soon as you can 🙂
1) Tell me a bit about yourself!
2) What are you looking for in a house?
3) How do you feel about the collective food/supplies set up?
4) Does a moving date around June 30th with first rent due then work for you?
5) Which of these times to view the house works (if none of them work we can try and find another time):
- Sat 18th May (any time)
- Mon 20th May (evening)
- Wed 22nd May (evening)
- Thur 23rd May (evening)
Thanks! 🙂
