From the flat you can get to Putney mainline in a little over 5 minutes, and to East Putney district line in just over 10. Plenty of busses, including night busses, pass the end of the road. Putney is great for access to the city via Clapham Junction, Vauxhall or Waterloo, or out of town to Richmond, Kingston or Windsor.

For r&r there are plenty of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. You can also get to the river, or up to the woodlands of Putney Heath, Wimbledon Common or Richmond Park. This green, leafy neighbourhood can feel very peaceful, yet is still accessible to the city.
