Lovely and pretty 2 bed flat to rent in the heart of Shepherd's Bush - great flat mate and landlady!

I am sadly leaving London, so we are looking for one person to rent a double room in a spacious flat in Shepherd's Bush.

The flat is on the edge of a small, friendly council estate with private parking. Like most estates its not all that pretty on the outside, but this flat is really pretty on the inside with good sized rooms and plenty of storage!

The flat is really homely with lovely furniture that the landlord has collected over the years. Upstairs are the bedrooms and bathroom with bath, shower fitting and a brand new heated towel rail! Downstairs is the kitchen, living room and lots of storage.

The flat is on the 3rd and 4th floor of a 4 storey block. There is no lift, access is via a rather grotty concrete staircase. Neighbours are friendly, never had any trouble. They are a mixture of families and young professionals.

The kitchen has a good washing machine, separate tumble dryer, under the counter fridge with small freezer compartment, electric fan oven and gas hob. Parking is free pending a permit from the council. Bills are not included. They come to about £120 a month each (water, phone, gas, electricity, council tax, broadband, TV license). The landlord has just completely rewired the flat and installed a new boiler and new radiators.

The local area is lively and mixed, with excellent middle eastern and Polish food shops and restaurants, the best fruit and veg market in London (Shepherd's Bush market) but also close to the posh gastro pubs of Brook Green and Brackenbury Village. I've never had trouble in this neighbourhood and love it but some people may find Shepherds Bush to be a bit too edgy for them, so best check it out if you don't know it. But there are excellent local travel options, supermarkets, parks etc. The 94 bus whizzes you into Piccadilly in about 45 minutes and stops just outside the flat and Goldhawk Road tube station is just over the road (Hammersmith and City and Circle lines). And it's just a short walk to the Westfield shopping mall and Shepherds Bush station (overground and central line) with all it's cinemas and restaurants and shopping.

But the best thing about the flat is your lovely new flat mate! Anna is really easy to live with, she's a very considerate flatmate who enjoys going to gigs and getting out and about in London. She's sociable and likes to go for drinks and chat about the day after work, but is not looking for a party animal who's going to have lots of people over and be going out til the early hours in the week. The landlady Helen is also amazing and always quick to solve any problems that might arise.

We are looking to set up viewings on 8th and 13th April in the evening. The move in date would be as soon as possible - the latest being 1st May.
