Ensuite double in bright Stepney home with garden

Hi there,

We’re looking for a friendly and respectful housemate for our lovely home in Stepney Green. We’re an international household so would appreciate somebody with experience of sharing with people from different backgrounds and cultures. We’re flexible on move-in dates.

The room:
A bright and spacious ensuite located on the second floor of the house. It comes furnished with a double bed, a large chest of drawers, built-in cupboard, glass bookshelf, and armchair.

Bills are approx £110.85 per person and include utilities, superfast broadband, TV license, and a cleaner twice a month. The landlady is happy for us to rent the parking space, which we use to offset some of the bills.

The house and surroundings:
The house has a big, bright living and dining area, and a spacious kitchen with a washing machine and dishwasher. There is ample storage in the attic and linen closet. Other than the advertised room, there are three bedrooms and a shared bathroom on the first floor, and a shared washroom on the ground floor. We also have a garden and patio.

We're on a lovely, residential street where there is a real sense of community - summer street parties, kids trick or treating for Halloween, Christmas Eve bonfires etc.

Stepney Green tube station is 3mins away, with Mile End and Whitechapel stations 15 mins away (walking). This would give you access to the Hammersmith & City, District, Central and Elizabeth lines, and the Overground. There is also a bus stop 2 mins away (opposite Stepney Green station) with good connections into the city.

There is a small Sainsbury's 2-3 mins from the house and the bigger Sainsbury's at Whitechapel is a 10-12 min walk from us.

The area has a number of pubs, you can jog 10 minutes to Victoria Park along the canal or streets, there is a 24/7 gym (or the Queen Mary Uni student gym - good, affordable gym!) and a great independent cinema a few minutes from us as well. Brick Lane, Columbia Road Flower Market and Broadway Market are all a 30-35 minute walk from home.

Your housemates:
You will be sharing with 3 professionals, aged 29 to 36, who have busy work lives but are always up for a dinner, movie or a chat of a weekday evening; and catching up on some of what this wonderful city has to offer on weekends. Between us we're into the usual stuff - sport, travel, cinema, theatre, outdoorsy stuff, and exploring London; and we each have our distinct interests too - improv, riding, piano to name a few.

About viewings:
If you like what you read and would like to swing by for a chat and a wee house tour, we’re available Saturdays 9am-1pm and Sundays 3-6pm.
