Single room in spacious home

We are looking for a new housemate to join us in a large Edwardian terrace on a quiet street, as one of our housemates sadly has to leave us to return to her home country.

The room is a single room with a desk, wardrobe and an ottoman storage bed (which is great for keeping additional stuff). We have a spare small bedside set of drawers if interested.

We have both a lovely living room with TV and another social space in the form of a dining room (with a big table which is good for eating and socializing or you could even bring your laptop down for a change of scenery).

There is a large kitchen with plenty of storage and a utility area with a new washer/dryer + fridge. We have a decent sized garden for getting some fresh air.

There are 5 of us in the house currently (not counting our departing housemate). We are all on different parts of the LGBTQ spectrum, so are of course LGBTQ+ friendly.

We are generally quite laid back and relaxed, we keep the communal areas clean and tidy, but are not perfect either. There is often music (including from our piano downstairs) and socialising, so it is not always the quietest home, but we are generally pretty respectful of each other.

We (Malcolm and Afaan) are live-in-landlords and have recently moved in to the property. We both work in media distribution. The other housemates are Jack, a lecturer, Pod, an artist and Lucy who is at the start of a career in editing.

Between us you can find interests in music, clubbing, film, travel, board games and generally making the most out of living in London. We are fairly chilled out and reasonably sociable and are hoping to find some housemates to join in with the life of the house!

Most bills included (Council tax, TV license, Water & Internet + professional cleaner). We have super fast 1 Gig Virgin Broadband (+TV). We also usually have a couple of subscriptions to SVOD services on the go e. g. Now TV

Gas & Electric are not included and we all contribute to the expenses for cleaning products and toilet paper.

The house benefits from being very close to not one, but two parks. Lordship Recreation ground which includes an outdoor gym, Table Tennis plus a Parkrun on Saturday mornings. Bruce Castle Park has tennis courts and the historic Bruce Castle (+museum).

Bruce Grove station (Overground) is just over 10 minutes walk away and Seven Sisters (Victoria line) and Wood Green (Piccadilly line) stations are walkable (but 20+ mins). Buses also go to those two stations (and beyond) from the end of the road (2 mins). You will also find a couple of Turkish supermarkets and a selection of eateries there. On street parking available with a permit from the council.

We will gradually improve things like the garden and living areas further over time, hopefully making it an even more appealing place to live.
