Friendly and Peaceful Double Room in Garden Flat
Hello, we have a really nice, peaceful double room to let in our end-of-terrace Warner flat, E17.
We are an easy-going bunch with a love of cycling, art, films, books and nature. I'm Sam 33 from Norfolk and work as a freelance journalist and private tutor (also the live in landlord). A lot of my work happens in Africa so I travel there quite a lot. Tara, my partner is a 29 year old environmental researcher, originally from Mumbai. She works a short way away in Shoreditch. Then there's Jon, from Poland, who's a artisan leather worker. He comes with a cat named Winnie. For anyone who also has a pet, Winnie lives happily enough with other animals. The housemate who's leaving is moving back to Japan.
We are looking for someone laid-back and independent to share our flat with. We all have our own lives, but eat meals together from time to time and go for a night out about once a month.
The room has a big bay window that looks onto the front of the house and comes furnished with a double bed, a wardrobe and book shelves. It's been redecorated in the last year and has wood floorboards and a gas fireplace.
The flat has a bright kitchen/dining room with bay window and a door that opens onto the garden. The kitchen comes equipped with all the usual- washing machine, microwave, gas oven and stove plus toaster, mixer, juicer etc. There is no living room.
We have a big garden running along the length of the house (see photo) and tiny Dagenham brook is just behind. Lots of nice green spaces around for walks and cycling, like Hackney Marshes, the River Lea and a bit further away, Epping Forest. There is residents parking with plenty of space outside which you can get a permit for.
At the end of the street is Lea Bridge Road (3 minute walk). Buses will take you to Walthamstow Central and Blackhorse Road tube in 10 minutes. The super-quick Victoria line from Walthamstow Central/Blackhorse Road will get you into Central London in about 15-20 minutes.
Hackney, Clapton, Homerton, Dalston can be reached by bus in the space of about 20 mins or less. You can also get to Liverpool Street via bus and overground in about 40 mins.
An off license is a 2 minute walk away, our local, a proper East End boozer with amazing curry nights, is at the end of our street, as are other restaurants and shops.
Rent includes all bills. Best to contact via email as I don't check voice messages/screen calls. Couples also considered, but rent would be more. Looking forward to meeting you!
