Double Room To Let In A Student House Share

I am leaving York in May for research and travel and am subletting my lovely room until the end of my tenancy in September 2014. The new tenant would therefore be able to rent the room from 29th May 2014 onwards … I WILL CONSIDER EARLIER OR LATER LET IF NEEDED!

THE ROOM

The room is a small double (the picture makes it look smaller so please come and have a look for yourself!) with a very comfy bed and ample storage space including a large wardrobe and chest of drawers. There is also a desk and chair. It is south facing so gets lots of lovely sunlight and is a really cosy, warm and bright room. I have really been very happy in it and am sad to have to leave!

THE HOUSE

The house is on a very quiet, safe street on the South Bank: a very desirable area of York. There is free parking on the street for anyone who, like me, has a car.

It is a 10/15 min bike ride across Millennium Bridge into the University of York and about the same distance into the city centre. The excellent amenities of Bishopthorpe Road are a 5 minute walk away including: Sainsburys, a local pharmacy, deli, homeward store, grocer, butcher, baker and the amazing Pig and Pastry cafe to name but a few.

There is a spacious shared kitchen (lots of storage/fridge space!) and living room and a huge bathroom with both a large shower and bath etc. There is also a locked yard at the rear of the property with a shed to keep you bike safe and dry!

There are three other lovely postgraduate students (theatre, arts, history) living in the house at the moment who are all studying at the University of York. We share bills and various other household necessities as well as the occasional dinner/wine/film night! We like keeping the house tidy and everyone is very respectful of noise etc.

I am looking for STUDENTS ONLY. We would like somebody who is clean and tidy, friendly and enjoys making their shared-house a home. It is a really nice, cosy, relaxed house and if you think that you would like to live here, please get in touch so we can sort out a meet up :D
