Nice double room in lovely professional house!

THE SEARCH - I am looking for a reliable and considerate person to share with me and my pets. I would like to live with someone vegetarian/vegan, or who does not cook or eat meat or fish in the house at least. Someone who is open minded and a bit conscious about recycling, conservation, green issues etc. Also someone who is not allergic to pets! My last lovely housemate has moved in with his girlfriend, so the room is available immediately.

THE ROOM - furnished and comfortable with WIFI, a double bed with new mattress, wardrobe, table & chair, fireplace, chest of drawers, room under the bed for storage. It has a window looking out of the back of the house so gets the evening light, and is nice and peaceful. The rent includes council tax, gas, electricity, water and broadband. It is recently redecorated. Room size approx 3. 25m x 2. 66m so is a medium sized room.

THE HOUSE – a quirky and charming 3 bed Victorian terraced house with many lovely features - mosaic tiled floors, fireplaces and stained glass windows - comfortable and homely non smoking house - back garden big enough for BBQs that catches the afternoon/evening sun until quite late in the day; over summer it is an excellent sun trap - Wireless broadband so you can use the Internet anywhere in the house
The lounge can be made separate from the rest of the living space for reading/relaxing, I don't own a TV so it is very peaceful... and the living room/kitchen is open plan and has another sofa and a large dining table....so is great for entertaining! There is a shared bathroom upstairs with a shower over the bath, and an additional downstairs WC.

THE LOCATION - MOORLAND ROAD, SPLOTT - 5 minutes drive to town or the Bay - a quiet street with plenty of unrestricted parking - great neighbours all around - 20 min walk from town - bus stops around the corner - close to Newport Road / M4 - 5 mins drive to Tesco Extra (Pengham Green) or Sainsbury's (Colchester Avenue) - near to local shops and larger stores on Newport Road & Boulders indoor climbing - near to STAR leisure centre - a great local pub with live music and big screen TVs - a fantastic local Balti takeaway just up the road - other takeaways/restaurants/corner shops/Cooperative food store/green grocers/butchers/petrol station/Splott Road & Clifton Street all within easy distance.

ABOUT ME - I’ve owned this house for 7 years and had lodgers on and off throughout that time. I am a support worker for adults with learning disabilities (based in Cardiff) and work a lot, but love to get out and about on days off, or have the odd party or dinner party. I am interested in yoga and meditation, ayurveda, walking, reading, cooking (vegetarian), music, gigs and festivals, natural history, art, crochet, films and cinema, trying new activities and having fun!

I have two cats and a large friendly dog who are all gorgeous, and help make the house homely and friendly.
