En-suite attic - short stays only - up to 4 people

This is perfect for families, couples, or friends who are happy sharing one room. I can host up to 4 people, for stays of 3 - 8 weeks.

You are welcome in my home just as you are - no matter what you look like, believe or prefer. This is an everyone-friendly and eco-friendly house. :) This listing is for stays of 3 - 8 weeks only. For shorter stays, please book through AirBnB. I don't accept bookings for more than 8 weeks. The attic will be your private space during your stay. Downstairs, you'll have a large cupboard for coats / shoes, your own fridge-freezer, and a kitchen cupboard. We’ll share the living room, dining room, kitchen, main bathroom and garden which has a swing and space to eat and relax. There may be other guests or my friends / family in the house. I will need to water the plants in your room once a week - I'll agree a convenient time with you in advance.

Most of the food, toiletries and cleaning products in the house are from the Zero Waste shop / organic / natural / locally sourced. I have a tyre pump, bike lube and space to securely lock 2 bicycles in the shed - and also live on a cycle route!

I'll set the heating to come on before you wake up, and again in the evening - but it's off during the day. It’s not suitable for home working (there’s no desk) or people with reduced mobility (due to steep stairs & low beds). Please note there's no TV but you can use the projector in the living room if you have a laptop with HDMI or thunderbolt output (for video) and mini-jack output (for sound). There's fast fibre internet so you can stream on your devices, anywhere in the house.

Your children are welcome and the house is equipped with everything they need to sleep, eat, play and stay safe. I have 20 years’ experience looking after babies + children of all ages plus an enhanced DBS check, First Aid, and safeguarding training. Just ask if you'd like to see a copy of these. I offer a babysitting service subject to my availability (£10/hr - advance booking advised).

ABOUT ME:
I’m into hiking, documentaries, podcasts, electronic music, festivals, personal growth, conscious communication.. and I think I’m pretty easy to live with! I work in inclusive music education and kids yoga. I'm interested in making positive changes in the world, both small and big.

PAYMENT:
I ask for a deposit of £250 when your booking is confirmed - you will loose this if you cancel your booking for any reason. Any damage beyond normal wear + tear or resulting from breaking the house rules will come out of your deposit (FYI, this has never happened!) Any damage classed as normal wear + tear is covered by your rent (e. g. a broken glass / a stained sheet / marks on the wall). I will return your deposit one day after check-out.

You can pay the rent in instalments, the first instalment must be paid before check-in.

RENT:
The rent is £250/week for up to 4 people. It includes all bills, tax, extras like toilet paper, soap etc. and cleaning. My cleaner comes every 2 - 3 weeks to clean the whole house including your room, and can also change your bedding if you wish.

CANCELLATION:
I have never cancelled a booking before, but In the unlikely event that I cancel your stay, I will refund your deposit. If you cancel your stay for any reason, you will lose your deposit.

HOUSE RULES:
- No pets or additional (non booked) people allowed inside.
- No parties or events.
- Quiet hours 10pm - 8am.
- Please take your shoes off in the house.
- Keep the doors locked all the time and close the windows when you’re out.
- No smoking / vaping in the house - smoking area is at the back of the garden.
- No electric vehicle charging.
- No portable heaters.
- Clean the kitchen after use and put dirty dishes in the dishwasher. If the dishwasher is full or running, stack dishes above it. Keep the wood around the tap dry.
