Large first-floor double bedroom available in a terraced house in Malin Bridge/ Hillsborough area.

The room is furnished in a clean, modern style with a good quality king-size bed and mattress, desk, office chair and built-in wardrobe. We can provide a set of quality king-size bed linen for your use if required. There is further storage space available in the basement and secure space in the garden outside if you have a bike. On-street parking is freely available with no permit required at present.

The price-per-month is fully inclusive of all bills, including gas, electricity, unlimited wireless broadband, council tax (if necessary).

The house is a three-bedroomed mid-terrace set over four floors and is well equipped. The lounge is newly decorated and includes sofa, wall mounted flat screen TV, DVD player and Virgin Media with On Demand TV. The open-plan kitchen dining room includes a fridge, freezer, gas hob, electric oven and cupboard space. There is a washing machine and brand new tumble-drier (perfect for laundry in the winter). The house has standard central heating and electric power shower. There is also an allotment-style garden with a raised deck area for sitting out. If you are green-fingered, you are more than welcome to get stuck into the garden (although of course you can ignore it quite safely as well).

The house is well connected with good transport links. The Malin Bridge tram stop (blue route) is 200 meters away (about a 3-5 minute walk). Alternatively, Hillsborough centre (including Hillsborough tram stops and Hillsborough bus station) is a short 7-8 minute walk away. There is a decent corner shop on the next street (2 minutes walk) open 7am-9pm for essentials. Morrison’s Supermarket in Hillsborough is 10-15 minutes walk away and further afield is an Aldi (about 10 minutes on the tram or bus) or Tesco (about 15 minutes on the tram or bus). Sheffield city centre is 15-20 minutes by tram. Hillsborough itself is a bustling centre with plenty of shops and pubs. It has several quality grocers and butchers as well as charity shops, takeaways, Barclays, Yorkshire and HSBC banks, cash machines, hairdressers etc. Leafy Hillsborough Park is a 10 minute walk away and just through the park is the large Hillsborough Leisure Centre with gym, swimming pool, fitness classes and so on.

You will be sharing with one other person (me; the owner). Most weekends my partner will also be around, who lives in London during the working week. I am generally busy during the week; I work full time at the University of Sheffield. This is a quiet residential neighbourhood. I am quiet, tidy, easy-going and friendly; happy to have a chat over a beer but equally enjoy my own space and privacy.

The room would suit a professional or mature postgraduate student who is looking for a clean and quiet house. No smokers, DSS, pets or undergraduates please.

Rent: £325/mo. Deposit £325. Maximum term is 6 months; with potential to continue thereafter on a month-by-month basis. One month’s notice required on leaving.
