Thornton Heath House - Double Room Available

I have a double room available from 11th July 2016.

The House
It’s a lovely Victorian terraced house refurbished last summer with new carpets and repainted walls. There is an added bonus of a long rear garden which is perfect for summer. On the ground floor, there is a cosy living room, a large dining room, a small kitchen and the bathroom. The kitchen leads out onto the garden.

The Room
It's a double at the back of the house over looking the garden. There is a double bed, large wardrobe and chest of drawers. There is some extra storage in the airing cupboard.

The Location
The location is really good for working in Croydon, commuting into central London or down to Gatwick. It is a 6-7 minute walk to Thornton Heath train station – from there you can get to Streatham (5 mins), Balham (10 mins), Clapham Junction (20 mins), Dulwich (20 mins), Victoria (25 mins), and London Bridge (30mins). Lots of buses also run through Thornton Heath. There is a large Tesco outside the station and various other shops and the amenities of Croydon are just five minutes away on the train or a short journey on the bus. It is also a couple of miles to the bars and restaurants of Crystal Palace.

The road itself is fairly quiet and suburban. There is room to park, for free, on the street and there is also a very convenient local shop a few doors down.

The Rent
• One month’s deposit in advance will be needed to secure the room(s).
• Rent is £600 p/m
• All bills are included in the rent – council tax, water, gas and electric, tv licence and broadband. I also have a Sky TV.
• If housemates would prefer to get a cleaner, there will be an extra charge for that.

About me
I will also be living in the property, along with my ginger cat (Wally), but I would like housemates to feel like it is their home too. Ideally, it would be good to meet some housemates who are happy to chat in the evenings and have dinner/BBQs from time to time. I tend to be out and about at the weekends but I’m usually there during the week and sometimes work from home. There is no need to be wildly clean but I like the place to be kept tidy (especially the kitchen and bathroom).
