Double room, living room, home from home.

I have a Double room to rent in a large three bed house in West Worthing. There is also a living/dining room to share with one other with a sofa, TV and Freeview.

Essentially I'm looking for someone who wants to live in a home, not just rent a room in a house. I want people to feel at ease, not that they have to scuttle about in the kitchen then back up to their room. We’re pretty sociable but the house is big enough to get away from it all if you want to. It's a peaceful place and I am looking for someone professional who wants to come home to peace and quiet.

There are currently two of us here (me, plus Helen my current lodger), never more than three. My other lodger, Matt, found love and has moved on.

You have your own fridge/freezer, to share with another lodger if there is one at the time, otherwise it’s all yours. There's also a large, relaxing, garden you're welcome to use, as well as the rest of the house of course.

I've recently refurbished both living/dining rooms, the bathroom and toilet plus we have a spanking new kitchen.

We're all working professionals, which is why there's a cleaner so there are no arguments over precious time off/who's cleaning the bathroom.

Your room has a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside drawers and further drawers under the bed. It looks out onto the back garden and is very quiet.

The house has all mod cons: two fridge freezers, dishwasher, washing machine, power shower (the best in the world!) and bath and super fast Wi-Fi, but no phone.

We are a five minute walk from West Worthing station, five minute drive to A27 and around a mile from the town centre so perfect for commuting. There's free on-street parking. The beach is about a mile away.

Rent includes all bills - gas, electricity, water, cleaning, Wi-Fi and council tax.

Pets
I have a friendly old cat, Pearl, but the house is big enough that you can be involved with her or not, it’s entirely up to you.

I asked what it's like to live here and Helen said "I highly recommend living in this home – it’s not just a house; there’s plenty of space, a sun-trap garden for the summer and it’s only a 10 minute walk to the sea! There aren’t any issues with parking, kitchen cupboard or fridge space or what’s on telly! The power shower’s amazing! The station’s only a 3 minute walk (without heels!) but you can’t hear the trains from your bedroom. You’ll fit in best here if you love good food and open minded conversation; if you want to live with people but have an appreciation of each other’s space and stuff."

Alice says "Last year I moved from Bath to Worthing not knowing anyone, and immediately felt welcome and at home in Kate’s house. It is a sociable household, where you can cook up a storm in the kitchen and chill out in your own ‘lodgers’ living-room. The bedroom overlooks the garden (which is great for summer BBQs) and is very quiet. I have loved living here and making this my home, but unfortunately had to leave Worthing due to work.
