The Chequers is a lovely creative share house situated in a huge converted 16th Century Inn with plenty of charm and character. This house suits people who are up for living in a creative community, understanding to the quirks of old properties but who can benefit from the large amounts of reception space.

This is a socially aware, environmentally conscious & fun creative household. We enjoy socialising, playing music and having friends over but it’s not a party house as most of us work regular hours.

The Room
Furnished double room, wooden floorboards, whitewash walls, ornamental fireplace and huge windows with views over Box.

Some parking

500GBP per month (550 for couples) including all bills (accept phone). Deposit required.

The Area
Box has several pubs, chemist, doctors, pop-up cinema, regular music events partly owing to presence of Real World Studios, library, late night shop, post office, cafe, Indian restaurant, tennis courts and heaps of beautiful walks in the surrounding countryside. Bath is only 5 miles away with good bus links
Bath & Chippenham both have good railway links to London and the South West

Who lives here?

MJ – Musician, music therapist and music producer. Male, in mid 30’s.
AT - Commercial designer, artist and general all round creative type. Femaie in early 30’s.
KF – Illustrator, animator and journalist. Female in early 40’s.
Kallika - Project Manager & Resource Development Consultant and Complementary Medicine Practitioner. Female early 40’s.

Our live out landlord is a local in the community and a creative wiz herself. Director, film makers and has her finger in many creative projects.
