The double room has been recently refurbished with modern oak furniture: king-size bed (all bed linen provided), double wardrobe, bedside cabinets, chest of drawers, and TV (FreeView HD). The lodger will have their own private use of a separate luxury bathroom (on the same floor as the double room), complete with bath and shower. There is a separate drying room on the same floor. Smoke alarms in all rooms.

Available for 7 days/week (£125/week) but would also consider a Mon-Fri-only let at £100/week.

This modern semi-detached house is located at the end of a cul-de-sac in a quiet and safe residential area, a short walk from the centre of Corsham and with easy accessibility to Bath (A4), 8 miles away; 3 miles from Sainsburys in Chippenham; 15 min from M4 (Bristol, Cardiff to the west; Swindon, Reading, London to the east). There are excellent nearby public transport links: bus stop to Bath/Chippenham, etc. and National Express coach stop to Heathrow/Earls Court/London Victoria Station are 5 min walk from the house; nearby rail connections from Chippenham station. MOD Corsham is 5 min walk away, so this would be perfect for anyone working at the MOD.

The small, charming town of Corsham has excellent facilities: several good pubs, restaurants, publicly accessible park area (Corsham Court), sports/leisure centre, roaming peacocks, etc. Corsham is renowned for its Pound Arts Centre, the arts hub for north Wiltshire, offering a year-round programme of films, live music, comedy, and theatrical performances, and art exhibitions.

There is off-road parking with a private driveway to the side of the house and use of an adjoining garage for a reasonable amount of storage, if required.

The house is light, airy, and well ventilated in the spring/summer and comfortably warm in the autumn/winter, with double glazing and gas central heating in all rooms.

The lodger will have full access to the communal areas: luxurious and relaxing lounge, leading onto a dining conservatory, relaxing garden with patio table and chairs, and good-sized kitchen with the usual appliances: microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, large fridge-freezer, own cupboard space, cooker, gas hob, etc.

This is a strictly non-smoking household. The live-in landlord is a full-time freelance professional working from home (often long and varying hours!) and, while very easy going and not obsessive about cleanliness, does expect the communal areas to be kept reasonably clean and tidy.

There is a resident friendly cat, who gladly receives any affection, so best suited to those who are not allergic to cats! No late-night shift workers or nocturnal party animals, thanks!

Ideally this room would suit a professional working in the area. Rental includes all household bills (except food, provisions, consumables, etc.) and free use of Superfast Broadband WiFi.
