  1. The Promoter

    1. The promoter is: Flatshare Limited t/a SpareRoom of 21 Market Place, Stockport, SK1 1EU (“SpareRoom”).
  2. The Prize Draw

    1. The title of this prize draw is “Finding Emily - Win a European City break for Two Prize Draw” (“Finding Emily Prize Draw”).
  3. How to Enter

    1. This Finding Emily Prize Draw will run from 12:00 hours (midday) on Monday 18 May 2026 (the "Opening Date") until 12:00 hours (midday) on Monday 15 June 2026 (the "Closing Date") inclusive.
    2. All Finding Emily Prize Draw entries must be received by SpareRoom by no later than 12:00 hours (midday) on the Closing Date. All Finding Emily Prize Draw entries received after the Closing Date will be automatically disqualified and not be counted for the Finding Emily Prize Draw.
    3. In order to enter this Finding Emily Prize Draw, you must:
      1. follow SpareRoom on TikTok (@Spareroom) and/or Instagram (@spareroomuk) and still be following at the time of the selection of the winner; and
      2. in the comments section of the SpareRoom post (on the platform you are following us on, namely, TikTok or Instagram) promoting this Finding Emily Prize Draw, tag the friend you would like to take with you on the European city break if you were to win
      3. by the Closing Date.

    4. This Finding Emily Prize Draw is free to enter and no purchase is necessary to enter or win. There is no charge to register for use of the TikTok and/or Instagram platform and you are not required to have registered an account with SpareRoom on its platform in order to participate.
    5. There are no limits on the number of times a person can enter this Finding Emily Prize Draw.
    6. SpareRoom, its employees, affiliates, contractors, representatives, agents and legal advisers will not accept:
      1. responsibility or liability for Finding Emily Prize Draw entries that are incorrect, delayed, corrupted or not successfully completed, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
      2. proof of transmission as proof of receipt of entry to this Finding Emily Prize Draw.
    7. By entering this Finding Emily Prize Draw, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions (“Official Terms and Conditions”).

  4. Eligibility

    1. This Finding Emily Prize Draw is open to all residents in the UK (England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) aged 18 years or over, except:
      1. employees of SpareRoom or its holding or subsidiary companies;
      2. employees of agents or suppliers of SpareRoom or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with this Finding Emily Prize Draw or its administration; or
      3. members of the immediate families or households of those that fall within clause 4.1.1 and clause 4.1.2 above.
    2. In entering this Finding Emily Prize Draw, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. SpareRoom may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter this Finding Emily Prize Draw.
    3. SpareRoom will not accept Finding Emily Prize Draw entries that do not comply with the Official Terms and Conditions of this Finding Emily Prize Draw.
    4. SpareRoom reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of this Finding Emily Prize Draw.
  5. The Prize

    1. There is a single prize for this Finding Emily Prize Draw which is a European city break for two people in either Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam or Rome.
    2. The prize is provided by Element London Ltd (“Prize Provider”). Any personal data submitted by SpareRoom and/or the winner to the Prize Provider will be treated in accordance with the Prize Provider's privacy policy, which is accessible at https://element-london.com/element-london-privacy-policy-travel-english/.
    3. The prize is for two (2) adults and includes:
      1. return flights from London to the winner's chosen city of either Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam or Rome;
      2. return airport transfers in the winner's chosen city of either Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam or Rome;
      3. three (3) nights' 4 star hotel accommodation in the winner's chosen city of either Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam or Rome, based on sharing a double occupancy room, with breakfast;
      4. a food tour, the duration of which may vary by chosen location, but includes a local guide and multiple food tastings;
      5. a bike tour of approximately two (2) hours, which includes a professional guide and bike hire;
      6. admission tickets to a drag show together with a bar tab (which will be paid to the winner in accordance with clause 5.13 ) to the value of €50 EUR in total;
      7. tickets (one per person) to a gig up to the value of €50 EUR per person;
      8. spending money of €150 EUR in total; and
      9. subject to clause 5.10 , travel insurance.
    4. The winner and their travel companion must travel at the same time and with the same itinerary. Where the travel companion is under 18 years of age, then the Prize Provider will require confirmation and evidence of parent or guardian permission prior to travel. The winner will be responsible for ensuring that the winner and their travel companion are available to travel and hold valid passports (valid for at least six (6) months on the date of travel), any necessary visas, travel documents for the trip or additional insurance.
    5. The flights included in the prize are economy roundtrip flights from London (inclusive of all applicable airport taxes, fees and duties) to the winner's chosen city of either Paris in France, Barcelona in Spain, Amsterdam in the Netherlands or Rome in Italy. Flights may be indirect and not all routings will be available. The flight itinerary will be selected by the Prize Provider at their sole discretion.
    6. Travel arrangements, including any and all costs relating to public transport, fuel or parking, to and from the winner and/or travel companion's home and departure airport do not form part of the prize and are the sole responsibility of the winner and/or their travelling companion.
    7. The accommodation in the winner's chosen city of either Paris, Barcelona, Amsterdam or Rome will be selected by the Prize Provider at their sole discretion. The accommodation is based on two (2) adults sharing a double occupancy room. The accommodation for the winner and their travel companion does not include any meals (other than breakfast), incidentals, gratuities, or telephone calls. Any other personal expenses incurred during the trip will be the responsibility of the winner and/or their travel companion. A valid credit or debit card will be required for security deposit purposes when checking into the accommodation.
    8. The prize excludes meals (other than breakfast with the accommodation) and drinks, excursions, attractions, treatments, visas, personal expenses and anything not expressly stated in the prize package set out in clause 5.3.
    9. All elements of the prize are subject to availability. If any element is unavailable, experiences and items of a similar nature and equal or greater value may be offered at the Prize Provider's sole discretion.
    10. Travel insurance is subject to restrictions and the terms and conditions of the insurance provider. It is the responsibility of the winner and/or their travel companion to meet any additional costs relating to obtaining insurance cover for any pre-existing medical conditions and for any additional costs as may be specified where the winner and/or their travel companion is aged 70 years or over.
    11. The winner, when contacted by the Prize Provider, must (when requested) provide the Prize Provider with details of their chosen destination and three (3) preferred travel dates in three (3) separate months no later than six (6) weeks prior to departure. All elements of the prize must be taken at the same time and once booked, the prize cannot be amended or cancelled. The prize cannot be taken between the dates of 21 December 2026 and 4 January 2027 (Christmas and New Year) or over UK public holidays or over Easter Sunday. The Prize is valid for twelve (12) months from the date of notification of winning in accordance with clause 6.3 , and all travel must be completed within that period.
    12. The exact details and requirements for the tours included within the prize package will vary by destination and will be advised to the winner by the Prize Provider upon booking. A list of available gigs will be provided to the winner once their preferred destination and dates are confirmed in accordance with clause 5.11 . If the individual ticket value of the winner's chosen gig exceeds the €50 EUR per person allowance, then the winner will be responsible for covering any additional costs over and above the €50 EUR per person allowance.
    13. All allowances included within the prize package detailed in clause 5.3 , namely, the €50 EUR bar tab and €150 EUR spending money will be transferred via bank transfer to the winner's nominated account in GBP (calculated using the exchange rates on the date of transfer), details of such nominated account are to be provided by the winner to the Prize Provider upon request.
    14. The prize is non-refundable and non-transferable. No cash alternative is available.
  6. Winner

    1. A winner will be chosen, from all eligible entries received, by a random draw performed by a computer process on or around Wednesday 17 June 2026.
    2. The decision of SpareRoom regarding any aspect of this Finding Emily Prize Draw is final and binding. No correspondence or discussion will be entered into about it.
    3. SpareRoom will contact the winner of this Finding Emily Prize Draw personally as soon as practicable but in any event within seven (7) days of the Closing Date, contact will be via the platform through which the winner entered using the contact information contained within their entry.
    4. SpareRoom must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation, SpareRoom will send the surname and county of the winner to anyone who emails press@spareroom.co.uk within one month of the Closing Date stated in clause 3.1.
    5. If you object to any or all of your surname or county being published or made available, please contact SpareRoom by emailing press@spareroom.co.uk. In such circumstances, SpareRoom must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
  7. Claiming the Prize

    1. Once SpareRoom has made contact in accordance with clause 6.3 , the winner will be required to confirm (within seven (7) days of first contact) eligibility to enter the Finding Emily Prize Draw by providing proof of their age and residency and also provide their name and contact details (address, email address and telephone number), which SpareRoom will retain for the purposes of recording the winner and also pass to the Prize Provider (where eligibility has been verified). If you do not provide the required information within the timescales set out in this clause, your claim to the prize will become invalid.
    2. If you are the winner of this Finding Emily Prize Draw, once your eligibility has been verified, your name, email address and telephone number will be passed to the Prize Provider. The Prize Provider will contact the winner direct to finalise the fulfilment of the prize. The winner should monitor their junk/spam folders for communications from the Prize Provider. If the winner does not respond to the Prize Provider communications within seven (7) days of the Prize Provider's first contact, your claim to the prize will become invalid.
    3. The Prize Provider will assign a dedicated fulfilment manager who will be the main point of contact for the winner in respect of any questions relating to the fulfilment of the prize. The fulfilment manager will provide the winner with itinerary options based on the information provided by the winner under clause 5.11 and make relevant bookings once the itinerary is approved by the winner. The Prize Provider will provide the winner with all information the winner will need for their trip, including booking confirmations for their flights, airport transfer and accommodation, and any necessary contact numbers and email addresses. The Prize Provider reserves the right to contact the winner following their trip in order to obtain feedback on the trip.
    4. SpareRoom will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner in accordance with clause 6.3 and the Prize Provider will contact the winner in accordance with clause 7.2 . If the winner cannot be contacted within seven (7) days of first attempting contact in accordance with clauses 6.3 and/or 7.2, does not provide the required information within the relevant timescales in clause 7.1 and/or clause 7.2 or is found to be ineligible to claim their prize, SpareRoom reserves the right to offer the prize to another entrant randomly selected in accordance with the process set out at clause 6.1 from those eligible entries that were received before the Closing Date.
    5. SpareRoom does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
    6. SpareRoom, its employees, affiliates, contractors, representatives, agents and legal advisers, will not be responsible or liable for a winner's failure to receive prize notifications or the prize due to:
      1. the winner's spam or other security settings;
      2. the winner's provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning contact information; or
      3. any equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.
    7. SpareRoom shall not be responsible or liable for errors in the publishing of the offer, administration of the Finding Emily Prize Draw or announcement of the prize or winner of the prize.
  8. Limitation of Liability

    1. Insofar as is permitted by law, SpareRoom, and its agents, employees, affiliates, contractors, representatives, distributors and legal advisers will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, claim, expense (including legal fees), personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize or in connection with participation in this Finding Emily Prize Draw or acceptance, use or misuse of the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of SpareRoom, its agents or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
  9. Data Protection and Publicity

    1. SpareRoom will only process your personal information as set out in these Official Terms and Conditions and the SpareRoom Privacy Policy. See also clause 6.4 and clause 6.5 , with regard to the announcement of the winner.
  10. General

    1. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these Official Terms and Conditions, including by acting fraudulently or dishonestly, SpareRoom, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to exclude you from participating in this Finding Emily Prize Draw and/or refuse to award the prize.
    2. SpareRoom reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, amend, withdraw, terminate or temporarily suspend this Finding Emily Prize Draw where it becomes necessary to do so, including in the event of any error, unforeseen circumstances, suspected evidence of tampering with any portion of this Finding Emily Prize Draw or any technical reason outside its reasonable control, with no liability to any entrants or third parties, but will use all reasonable endeavours to avoid consumer disappointment. In the event of termination, SpareRoom, in its sole discretion, may elect to select a winner from among all eligible entries to this Finding Emily Prize Draw received as of the date of termination. In the event a dispute arises as to the identity of a potentially winning entrant, entries will be declared made by the person whose details appear in the winner's registered account with TikTok or Instagram (as appropriate).
    3. These Official Terms and Conditions and this Finding Emily Prize Draw shall be governed by English law. If any entrants to the Finding Emily Prize Draw wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts of the United Kingdom.
    4. The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Terms and Conditions shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, these Official Terms and Conditions shall otherwise remain in effect and shall be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein. These Official Terms and Conditions cannot be modified or amended in any way except in writing by a duly authorised representative of SpareRoom.
